Here's to hoping he can make a big enough difference to get the Cats into the playoffs.

Heh heh. Poor Heimy. Don't worry. The Cats will make a concerned effort to make the playoffs this year. Dumping off some of the young chaff and pick up some experienced veteran players to push this club ahead. The Panthers aren't too far away from competing for a playoff spot, but they have to act quickly, I'm afraid. The Bruins just improved with Travis Green, and the Leafs picked up Nieuwendyk. Who knows what the Caps and Isles will do between now and December. The Panthers need to improve their club at the first sign of weakness, I think. Go all out for that post-season spot. It's been too long.

Good move, how has Horton looked during the preseason? I think he will take a few years to really round in to form, but could put together a Nash-type season this year if he's kept up by Florida.

He's scored 3g 1a in 4 games. He makes the Panthers a better, stronger club, especially along the boards.

Expect to see him the whole season not just 10 games
