Man is it ever nice to have hockey back. How I have missed the game. So, season opener in Chicago. I say 4-1 Wild.
Gameday thread: Wild @ Blackhawks, Oct. 8theo6060 10-06-2003, 03:55 PM Man is it ever nice to have hockey back. How I have missed the game. So, season opener in Chicago. I say 4-1 Wild. GaborikRules10!!! 10-06-2003, 04:12 PM Boy it is sure nice to have the season back :) Ill take the Wild 3-1. Bouchard with a couple points. DW 10-06-2003, 04:38 PM I'm going with 2-1 Wild. I'm keeping with my theme of low scoring games for the Wild. Atleast until we play the Rangers. ;) Bookman 10-07-2003, 05:25 AM The dark view  Sorry to be a naysayer, but I say Chicago whips the Wild 4-0. I'm just not sold on this group. Daigle, Brunette and Zholtok are our only forwards who've ever potted as many as 20 goals in a season. Offensive deadwood: Johnson, Chouinard, Hendrickson, Stevenson, Dowd, Marshall -- that's 2 whole lines right there. Complete unknowns: Brandner - Burns. Hopefully they surprise and delight. We'll see. Tiny winger department - Bouchard. I'm waiting to see how he fares in the corners against big guys like Bell, or Ruutu. I'm guessing that DR may learn a lot about the value of Gaborik and Dupuis over the next few games. Bookman 10-07-2003, 05:27 AM The lighter side :rolly: Wild 4-1 over the Hawks - Brent Burns continues to surprise the hell out of the "experts" with a two goal performance. ceber 10-07-2003, 06:55 AM I'm going to set the sights a little lower at the start. I'm guessing 3-2 Blackhawks. Zholtok and Brandner get goals, Brandner on the PP. Brad Brown gets in a fight. Shots will be in the Blackhawks favor. 28 to 16. That may be my last precise prediction, depending on just how wrong I am. ;) Blackadder 10-07-2003, 08:42 AM I'm gonna go 1-1. ceber 10-07-2003, 11:19 AM I retract my Brad Brown fight prediction. ;) Zebos 10-07-2003, 11:50 AM 2-1 Wild Wild Goal Scorers: Brandner & Zholtok. Bouchard gets an assist. theo6060 10-07-2003, 12:35 PM I retract my Brad Brown fight prediction. ;)What...Captains don't get in fights?! ;) DW 10-07-2003, 12:44 PM I retract my Brad Brown fight prediction. No doubt, you can't have the captain getting into any trouble. The C for this team is not for leadership. Atleast, not the leadership that other teams would use. Clearly, the org. wants guys to work there butt's off and show the team that they want to get better for the team, these guys seem to be getting the C. Not exactly what I would call a real leader but definitely a different approach. Why doesn't this team just name JL as the Captain? He is the real leader of this club, no if's, and's, or but's about that. Whatever he says, the team follows. GaborikRules10!!! 10-07-2003, 12:51 PM The lighter side :rolly: Wild 4-1 over the Hawks - Brent Burns continues to surprise the hell out of the "experts" with a two goal performance. Now thats better :) Kristofer 10-07-2003, 02:55 PM I'm gonna go 1-1. I agree with you. Yup. strib 10-07-2003, 03:11 PM No doubt, you can't have the captain getting into any trouble. The C for this team is not for leadership.
