Hyped 10-07-2003, 11:41 AM Oilers:
Stoll, Torres, Bergeron/Luoma (not decided yet), Sarno (if youwant to call him a prospect)...
Sarno was just put on waivers so they could send him back to the minors. You can scratch him off the list. That means both Luoma and Bergeron are on the opening day 23 man roster...
VO #23 10-07-2003, 11:49 AM Pitkanen for Philly.

What is Bouguniecki's injury ? How long is he expected out for ? Thanks, i have him in my draft :)
Chaos 10-07-2003, 01:02 PM Well for Dallas, Im not sure Ott is still counted as a rookie, but he will be in the lineup..and by Jokinen, if you mean Jussi Jokinen(since he's the only Jokinen I know the Stars have), he is in Finland this year. Also, as a previous poster mentioned...Daley should be there, but because they gave erskine a 1 way contract and he'd have to clear waivers, Daley will start in Utah.
Mr. T 10-07-2003, 01:05 PM Orpik, Fleury, Caron, Malone, Murley and Koltsov for the Penguins
Abid too if you count him as a prospect.
strungout 10-07-2003, 01:05 PM Add Alexander Semin to the Caps...and maybe Boyd Gordon depending on the final roster cut tonight.
All three first rounders from 2002 could be on the opening night roster...
:yo:
icarus 10-07-2003, 01:32 PM No Dome for Calgary, add Kobesew
rbrooks 10-07-2003, 01:37 PM Spiller for Phoenix
PhoPhan 10-07-2003, 02:45 PM Spiller for Phoenix
The Coyotes have 7 defensemen. Francis will likely dress 7, but if he only dressed 6, Spiller may be the one who sits.
V for Voodoo 10-07-2003, 02:48 PM vermette has made the senators, a least until havlat signs
didjuicythat 10-07-2003, 02:59 PM You got it right as far as Montreal is concerned.
The last cut has been made earlier today, and Chris Higgins wasn't sent down to the AHL, and will likely play the first 2 games of the regular season. Same goes for Micheal Ryder, who by the way was the Habs' best scorer in pre-season games... as for Komisarek, he's pretty much a lock for the first game, in Ottawa.
EroCaps 10-07-2003, 03:12 PM Just announced:
Alex Semin, Steve Eminger, Boyd Gordon make the Caps last cut.

As noted above! :D
Gordon should last at least until Nylander returns...cool news for the Caps..finally going with the youth!
Cayouche5 10-07-2003, 03:21 PM You got it right as far as Montreal is concerned.

Hainsey and Ward ( Rookie? ) are still there so maybe.
Le Golie 10-07-2003, 03:44 PM Islanders still have Sean Bergenheim, Justin Papineau, Justin Mapletoft and Trent Hunter up. There are room for three of them right now.
Once Weinhandl comes back (2 weeks I believe) and Scatchard is ready (day to day) two more will probably go to Bridgeport.
Some are assuming Bergenhiem will be sent back to Finland after a 10 game stint or so, leaving Papineau as the primary offensive callup.
august 10-07-2003, 03:50 PM There are six rookies for the Habs:
Komisarek, Higgins, Hainsey, Ward, Hossa and Ryder.

Munchausen 10-09-2003, 01:31 AM You got it right as far as Montreal is concerned.

Higgins and Komisarek will be scratches for the opener. Hainsey will play, although I would bet a 2$ that in the end, Komisarek stays and Hainsey goes down when Francis Bouillon comes back from his injury.
Starting lineup
Hossa - Ribeiro - Zednik
Bulis - Perreault - Audette
Sundstrom - Juneau - Dackell
Dwyer - Ward - Ryder
Markov - Rivet
Souray - Quintal
Hainsey - Brisebois

Walker is injured but expected to return to the D
easton122 10-10-2003, 02:48 PM Joni Pitkanen and Jim Vandermeer (still is a rookie) have both made the Flyers opening night roster and played.
jason king...and bryan allen, has FINALLY won a job!
BrooklynCapsFan 10-10-2003, 03:34 PM Exelby made the Thrashers too.
dunwoody_joe 10-11-2003, 08:00 AM Atlanta: Piros, Santala, Exelby
Santala played pretty well and X is a rock. Piros is OK.

As far as I know, Poloushin is playing in Russia. He wasn't even in training camp.
Here's a link showing that he has already played in Russia.

and Abid
petec1978* 10-11-2003, 09:46 PM Dimitry Afanasenkov made the Lightning pretty much out of nowhere. Scored a goal opening night and has been playing on Lecavalier's line.
Like I wrote in the story... Polushin is still in Russia playing for CSKA. He has 5 goals and 7 points in 12 games so far.
