uh, what did he figure out?

luongo has been an up-and-comer for a while.
whether jokinen can repeat his all-star season is completely up in the air.
bure having a good preseason means nothing in its translation to the regular season.

if anything, point out the additions of messier, nedorost, horton, samuelsson, healthy/hopefully whole year of val bure (don't point out his preseason, one which is getting attention b/c he got nearly all of his points in 1 game), luongo coming off a world championship gold/no longer threatened by losing time to his backup (gawd save us w/ shields), weiss not wasting a roster spot and properly developing in San Antonio, and a jay bouwmeester w/ a year under his belt. those are reasons to have a 'hunch.'

his space was limted to saying less, maybe they should have given the panthers more room so that he could get it exactly right. given that he was missing such important facts.

fine, here's brevity for you.

Added messier, nedorost, samuelsson. luongo coming off gold medal at WC and now unthreatened (shields) . bouwmeester has rookie year under belt . bure starts season healthy. 1st rder. horton fills in vacant PF spot. i have a hunch results may be different down in sofla.

Being so obvious and correct, why do you think he chose to write something so lacking? You know you should give the guy a break, he's obviously not as smart.

Did your read the panthers preview section? Its the same every year, but all those view from the expert things on the bottom where the analysts predict where the panthers will be in the standings, most said 14 13 and 11. They said only Pittsburg was worse. WTF. Panthers get no respect, (not that they deserve too much) but C'mon, they all criticized for not adding grit and toughness and they had no veteran leadership. Did we not sign Samuelsson, Messier and Odelein and bring in Shields? To be considered to have veterans do we need to add Matteau and Mark Messier and Gretzky and TOcchet, and Gartner???? I don't get this. We have more veterans than Minnesota and NYI do and several other teams but we don;t get any respect in that category. Also, they criticized us as being soft? Horton, Sameulsson, Hagman, Messier, Hordichuk, Jokinen, Ritchie, Odelein, JBO, Mezei, Biron and Kozlov are not soft.
