I know what you're thinking. ESPN Expert...oxymoron. Maybe, but I realize I'm not the only one with hockey fever (save the cowbell jokes) so I'm going to post it anyway:

Relative to last year, the canucks are getting much more respect. I think there was only one mention of anything associated with the team in last year's picks.
Buccigross, an excellent writer if you haven't read him before, also has a nice tribute to Snyder along with his picks:

Definitely an unusual set of picks there...
Most of the predictions have at less some type of logic to them, but there is about no way in which i see Scott Steven winning the Norris this season at less not at the age.

I sent him an email to Buccigross last week and he indicated I would like where he placed the Canucks. He was right :D ....
Now if it only comes true.

Hockey goddess: Nancy Marrapese-Burrell ...3rd from the bottom
Stanley Cup: Vancouver Canucks
So far if my counting abilities are correct this is what it stands like:
all of this is out of 17
6 people think we are winning the division
2 think that Jovo is winning the Norris
3 think Bert wins the Hart and 1 that Nazzy wins it.
2 think we win the cup and 2 think we win the west.

happy to see, but not realistic.

man these predictions are whacked.
Hasek for the Hart and Vezina? too late in his career and after an off year to pull of a league MVP.
Sather for the Adams?
the one at the bottom is a huge Dallas homer. M=G? :p

I don't think Detroit is going to be as good as everyone is saying. They will win the division if Hasek plays even 80%, but I think Hatcher has seen his better days, and Ray Whitney is not Sergei Federov come playoff time. They won't make it past round 2 IMO unless they make a good trade at the deadline.
That said, I am impressed there are a few people in Bristol who recognize that the Canucks are working their way into the elite ranks.
