There was an article in the Province newspaper today saying he was signed to a one year deal, but it didn't give any information about the contract other than it is a one-way deal. So he won't be going to play in Manitoba at all.

Uh, NHLPA.com lists is 2003/2004 salary as $2 million...but I'm guessing this is the contract Colorado bought out? It lists him as a member of the Avalanche, I'm guessing it just hasn't been updated yet.

Good signing for the Canucks but now he has to clear waivers.

He'll clear waivers quite easily.

Great Move by the 'Nucks. He'll impact on the ice but he'll be a major factor in the dressing room

At 500K, Keane is the perfect replacement for the "void" left by Klatt/Baron. He had a solid preseason, and I can see him getting about 40 games or so, and probably getting in some playoff games as well. Very solid move by Burke :)
