Don't have to buy him out when he is put on waivers. Just fishing to see if anyone will take him off our hands and then if clears, either keep him up (not likely), send him to the minors (likely), or buy him out (don't see that happening yet...). Evil TSN.ca has the link (http://www.tsn.ca/nhl/news_story.asp?id=56495) too.

if fleury stays with the pens after 10 games, the will probably buy him out. it will be cheaper that way.

He doesn't cost too much, i could see a few teams taking him...Florida anyone?

They just lost Steven Valiquette so yeah, i have no idea who the hell their back up is right now, Aubin would be great for them because he's not too bad and has alot more experience than SV thats for sure.

So yeah i wonder if Florida is paying attention cuz it seems the past 2 weeks they haven't been.

Roberto Luongo and Steve Shields is Florida's tanden in goal.

No one's going to claim him.

I agree with tom_servo, Aubin is pretty useless.

He'd make a good equipment boy... no wait. That would require work ethic and hustle. Yep... he's worthless.

Be careful what you wish for. While Aubin's no rock in goal, without him, our top four would be Fleury, Caron, Chiodo, and Brochu.

Caron has 24 games experience, Brochu 8; the other two, zero.

And if Fleury can't handle the NHL, Aubin is right back in the mix.

But, there are always goalies available.

I'll take a Caron / Fleury "Learning Experience" any day over a season of "This is as good as I get" Aubin. He's a goalie instructor's dream.

"Now pay attention to the video lads; this is called 'Lesson 1: Bad Rebounds'. See that?! OOooo! There's another one just 5 seconds later. And another one!

Now watch closely... here comes Lesson 2... goalie gets out of position annnnd... FLAILS for the puck as it hits the twine. And now you know why they called him 'Seabass'. Only a fish would flail on ice like that...."

I mean, if Aubin happens to be claimed before then (as everyone wants him to be).

But you're right. Veteran goalies are a dime a dozen.

Assuming Fleury and Caron don't get shelled every night.
