Huuuuuuuuuuuuge improvement! Thank god they dumped the old site.
Also, they announced that the Avs will be the feature in ESPN's "The Season". There will be two 1-hour episodes with the fist one airing in February.

The old page is still there when I goto coloradoavalanche.com.
This was definately long overdue. Good to hear about "The Season." I really enjoyed the one on the Beanpot tourney.
Why does it look like the old site??
Aerolanche 10-08-2003, 02:06 PM Maybe they were just testing it for a breif amount of time?

I just checked the link, it is the new site. I have to say it is quite impressive, and about time the official site was overhauled.
That is really cool news about "The Season" covering the Avs. I really enjoyed the Red Wings one last year, regardless of the team it is a great behind the scenes look at some of the personalities of the players.

Still a broken link...

MileHigh 10-08-2003, 04:44 PM Wow.
Definetly an improvement and the news about the Season focusing on Colorado is awesome.
Stastny 10-08-2003, 04:52 PM Great site, finally. It was long overdue.
MileHigh 10-08-2003, 05:03 PM I just looked a little bit more into it and it seems to be a much better site than just looks. First off their are some cool wallpapers including an awesome one of Foote that's on my screen right now and it is more picture and grapphically oriented that the last one. There are cooler pics and photoshoptypes of things throughout the page.
But the biggest improvement looks like they are going to have highlights of each game on the website.
Zodiac 10-08-2003, 05:09 PM Yeah, it works for me now.
Much better than before. Of course, it's not very hard to improve on what was there before.
DarioinDenver 10-08-2003, 06:02 PM Same old thing as before for me.

Clear your cache/delete temp internet files?
DarioinDenver 10-08-2003, 06:48 PM yeah, it shouldn't matter. I refreshed, deleted files still get the:

DarioinDenver 10-08-2003, 07:12 PM You can see it? This is wierd, all I see is the old site at www.coloradoavalanche.com
nathan 10-08-2003, 07:13 PM I have the same problem as you Dario.
Aerolanche 10-08-2003, 07:24 PM Take away the 'www'.

Breck Av 10-08-2003, 07:28 PM Finally! The old site had to be the worst out of every team in all 4 North American sports. The old multimedia section only had video of the "Read Team", whatever that was. Highlights after every game should be mandatory in this day and age. I also think teams should webcast a few live player interviews after each game, instead of doing it on TV. You have all this great technology, use it.

doesn't matter, same problem.
Zodiac 10-08-2003, 07:42 PM The old page is whats coming up for me now.
Maybe they are just testing the new page? :dunno:
I was on my laptop before when the old page came back up. Now I'm back at my desktop and the new page works again. :dunno:
DarioinDenver 10-08-2003, 07:47 PM I finally got it to work by releasing my ip and then renewing it.
go to a command line (dos interface), type "ipconfig /release" then type "ipconfig renew". See if that works.
nathan 10-08-2003, 08:09 PM I'm on a router so that command didn't work for me.
Well, hopefully things will work eventually.

Yes, that worked.
Dario, you rock. :yo:
nathan 10-08-2003, 09:38 PM Finally got on!
Seems Internet Security interfered with accessing the site.
Av-merican 10-09-2003, 10:57 AM I agree the old site was super-lame and looked outdated from the get-go. The new one looks great...although I can't believe they have that accursed banner that reads "History Achieved" on the front page. That stupid PR campaign last year ended up being the epitaph on our short-lived playoff year. TAKE IT OFF!!!
Odd thing was I got the old site a couple times as well. A few refreshes and it was back to normal.
