When is it held this year and what day do you have to be born before to be able to be drafted and if you know of a list or just know tons about Bantam hockey maybe can you post a top 10 list because this kid in like all of my classes in school was talking about it and he might get drafted in the top 10.

The WHL Bantam Draft is usually held in late April/May, and 14 year-olds (2nd year bantams) are drafted.

I know it's early, but watch for Ryan Howse to be among the Top 3, if not the first overall selection. He's played a couple games for the Cariboo Canucks (BC Major Midget) as an emergency injury callup, and he was the best player they had.

For those of you in the Kelowna area, I believe the PG Bantam AAA team is there for a tournament this weekend. It couldn't hurt to go check him out.

That's just the kind of week I'm having. I still feel like I'm stuck at YVR (another topic for another day).

The number one player from Saskatchewan without a doubt right now is Jared Cowan, playing with the Saskatoon Contacts. A defenseman well over 6 feet at only 14 right now - he still has room to grow! Stats so far - 9 GP, 0 G, 0 A, 0 PTS, 20 PIM.
Another call-up to the Contacts has been Brent Ashton's son, Carter, a winger - stats 2 GP, 1 G, 0 A, 1 PT, 0 PIM.

Beardy's AAA has Dwight and John Iron's younger brother, Jorden, playing full time for them - stats 9 GP, 1 G, 4 A, 5 PTS - but he's very, very small!

I think Cowen is about 6'4" right now.

Are there any phenoms in this years Bantam draft....sad to say but as a wheat king fan this should be one of the high points of the season in getting first or 2nd pick in the Bantam draft.
Any info on top notch players available for the draft would be greatly appreciated.
Thanks
