I try, but it never works out very well, I'm just as entiltled as you to make of former players. He should do better than Kariya did last year in Anaheim. lux_interior 10-10-2003, 11:22 AM I try, but it never works out very well, I'm just as entiltled as you to make of former players. With all the dollar signs in his eyes, I expect we may actually see him utilize his talent. He has Art Ross ability, just needs the right motivator. lux_interior 10-10-2003, 01:23 PM With all the dollar signs in his eyes, I expect we may actually see him utilize his talent. He has Art Ross ability, just needs the right motivator. He's been one of the best forwards the first two games. After Neidermayer he's probably the best forward so far. I wonder if he's starting to re-think his decision to come here. mmbt 10-10-2003, 02:28 PM Man, that's just begging for a, "caption this," thread. He should do better than Kariya did last year in Anaheim. as far as i can see Kariya is doing well with the Avs already off to a good start.. :( 2 Goals 2 Assists 4 Points 2 Games.. Also, someone was telling me that Kariya signed for so little with the Av's because he didn't want to sign a 3 year contract after the new CBA comes out.. Anyone know about this? Also he said, that Kariya is looking to come back to Anaheim after this year. He has season tickets to the Ducks for the past 6 years... By Pronger. ESPN2 cut away during the replay when a melee ensued. (Selanne got x-checked to the ice at the same time by Jackman.) Did anyone see what came out of the melee? (Selanne got x-checked to the ice at the same time by Jackman.) Did anyone see what came out of the melee? I saw Rob Blake going after Pronger as soon as Blake saw Kariya get crosschecked...but after that I don't know what happened. :dunno: Spankatola Jamnuts* 10-13-2003, 10:33 PM Pronger's a retard. His mentality is the reason the Blues never win anything. They're a stupid, pissy team. McDonald19 10-14-2003, 08:34 PM I was happy to see both Selanne and Kariya taken down hard after they scored. You know what resulted in it? Both of them wern't on their game after that hit. That's the only way you can win against the Avs. You have to physicaly punish them. Yeah I agree they are definetly a soft team...I hope whoever matches up against them in the first round of the playoffs is smart enough to play extremely physical and dirty against them. windowlicker 10-19-2003, 09:22 PM Yeah I agree they are definetly a soft team...I hope whoever matches up against them in the first round of the playoffs is smart enough to play extremely physical and dirty against them. oh, dont worry, Edmonton is well aware of it. KariyaIsGod* 10-20-2003, 01:08 PM Good. I just wanted to comment on how great the Ducks look, with Federov and Prospal instead of Kariya and Oates. Good job! Keep it uP! CHEAT TO WIN!!! McDonald19 10-20-2003, 03:03 PM CHEAT TO WIN!!! Well if you don't like a physical sport stop watching hockey...go watch baseball... :) Personally i think to win you have to push the other teams superstars around, and those that have the balls to push back are the stars I would want on my team...thats why players like Joe Thornton are so great. Rooch 10-20-2003, 03:16 PM thornton is great, he even tricks the great 2 way forwards with the "hey over here" play! i can't beleive rucchin fell for that. hilarious! lux_interior 10-20-2003, 03:26 PM Good. Upon1 10-20-2003, 04:54 PM I think it is pretty obvious (even with a goalie at the deadline) that the Avs dont have what it takes to be favourites in the cup finals unless they get a lot tougher. At the same time I don't think that is Kariya and Selanne's main priority. They want points, points and points (why else would they go to Colorado with their offer first and not Detroit?). Avs will get outplayed in the playoffs but Kariya will get his 50 goals. You can play physical without playing dirty. Dirty is the word you used, and that is no good. Be physical, fine, but not dirty... McDonald19 10-20-2003, 05:55 PM You can play physical without playing dirty. Dirty is the word you used, and that is no good. Be physical, fine, but not dirty... Whats wrong with playing a little dirty? Thats what will get the star players off their games. Its a part of hockey. Hopefully it always will be. | ||
