Blues sign Hemingway, Byrne, and Aaron McKenziebluebleeder38 10-10-2003, 01:33 PM Source: stlouisblues.com Well we finally got them signed. :yo: Plager05 10-10-2003, 01:43 PM Could someone post the terms if they find them out, I'd like to see who caved in regards too Hemingway and Byrne. And who is Aaron Mckenzie? execwrite 10-10-2003, 02:07 PM Good news. McKenzie was first-team All-Star in the WCHA last year. He could be a find. rickster 10-12-2003, 11:02 AM Only an ***** or a front office parent club flunkie would make a comment about caving in on signing Hemingway.A solid two player with great hands and a solid quick release. He also went toe to toe with Murray from Hartford in an exhibition game giving 3inches and 40 lbs.Wake up ! EDIT: Personal insults not necessary. PB Actually if you read it again you'll see my comment was not in favor of either the Front Office or Hemingway I expressed no opinion on who was right in my earlier post. I just want to know who gave in to who's demands in regards to the contract dispute. I actually hope it was the front-office because screwing Hemingway now can only embitter Colin(and Trevor) and predispose him too milking every penny out of an organization that screwed him over in the past, instead of taking a few dollars less to stay with a team and organization that's been faithful and supportive of him. purple_heart 10-13-2003, 06:42 AM Actually if you read it again you'll see my comment was not in favor of either the Front Office or Hemingway I expressed no opinion on who was right in my earlier post. I am not sure I would characterize either as caving in, but I heard from friends at UNH that Hemmingway got a little less than what they offered him after his junior year but considerably more than what was offered last March at the end of the season. They said he played Friday night and was ok -- nothing special. Byrne supposedly got a bit more than Colin, but did not dress Friday night. Only time will tell how it all works out for both of them. As long as they both get a chance to play regularly, they should both do well. It does seem as though the Blues treat college kids differently (and not as fairly) as the junior players. I guess the leverage is all on the team's side. rickster 10-14-2003, 03:20 AM I am not sure I would characterize either as caving in, but I heard from friends at UNH that Hemmingway got a little less than what they offered him after his junior year but considerably more than what was offered last March at the end of the season. I have seen two of the Cats first three games and they are struggling offensively. They are skating four lines and nobody seems to be clicking. The power play does not scare anybody either.Hemingway needs more ice time especially on the PP.They also need a quarterback on the point for the power play. | ||
