Given that Heatley is out and we need someone to play the point on the PP, I think it is sensible that DW at least enquires about Berard. I know that our D is pretty full but he can also play forward and might be a good fit on a scoring (he put up good numbers for the islanders in his first couple of seasons playing on D, he might do even better playing at F) or checking line.
