I was wondering if/when these guys will be brought over to play for the Kings. Any idea? I mean, Frolov was drafted in 2001 and played in the 2002-03 season, but Anshakov was drafted in 2002, yet is playing in Russia this year. Is he just a year behind Frolov, or slower developing?

Depending on the kind of year that he has I can see Anshakov coming over next year.

As for Pushkarev, unless he has just a stellar year this season I don't think he will be playing for the Kings for at least 2 more years.

From what I've read, I think Anshakov should be ready for a contract this summer and will probroly require a year in the AHL. It looks like the main thing about Pushkarov is that he needs to fill out his frame.

I'm sure DT will keep a close eye on these two.

agreed w/t he previous posters. i'd say 2-3 years before they start playing a few games and 3-4 years before they play significant amounts.

I'm nit-picking, but Frolov was drafted in 2000. I would agree that Anshakov will take more time to develop. As for when the kids will come over, I think that a lot of it will depend on the CBA. Whether we keep certain forwards or let them leave is likely to determine when they come over.

Ah, yes! 2000! I'm surprised nobody else picked that up! Well now, that puts a new spin on things:

Frolov-drafted 2000, plays in 2002

Anshakov-drafted 2002, plays in 2004 (along with Grebeshkov???)

Pushkarov-drafted 2003, plays in 2005

The above is all speculation, of course.........
