I wonder if it will be the same, or if we can see Krafty in there instead of Holzinger.

On a bright note, at least Melichar did not leave the game with a shoulder injury last night.

I doubt anything will change for the first 6 or 7 games, other than the goalies (Caron is wisely in net tonight at Philly), line combos and defensive pairings. They have to give the new guys a decent shot before shelfing them in favor of someone else. It may in fact be longer before any call-ups / send-downs are made. Maybe 10, 12 games.

It's really hard to look at a team like this and single one or two guys out and say "hey you're not pulling your weight". There is simply no chemistry anywhere on the ice. They're still learning where they're supposed to be in a given situation, etc. The only way I could see someone getting shelfed right away is if they show a consistent lack of hustle.

Anyone who skates hard and stays out of the box (if that's their role), will stay up for a while IMO.
