I would like to start a pole on the subjest or at least someone start a pole but im not sure of all the incidents yet :)

-Fans booed Destiney's Child while wearing Laker's jerseys

-Fans booed Michael Irven after recieving a serious injury

-Fan jumped/fell into the penalty box and got beat by Domi

-People booed Santa Clause (unsure of circumstances :dunno: )

-People threw snow balls at Dallas Cowboys?

I know I am forgetting some pretty big one's so if anyone else has a big enough list maybe you would want to start a pole. I just think this is pretty interesting :D

I know there was a fan at an Eagles fan who shot off a flare gun during a game. I think it was a Monday night game too, but I'm not sure.

Monday nite game, vs. San Fran.

Who really cares what was the worst incident. Every city has their black eyes, we have Eagle fans!

Good, how stupid do you have to be to wear an opposing team's jersey on somebody's homecourt.

-Fans booed Michael Irven after recieving a serious injury
They didn't boo they cheered.

-Fan jumped/fell into the penalty box and got beat by Domi
Domi is a *****. He dumped water onto the guy and then he hopped in the box and Domi got in some cheap shots if I remember correctly.

-People booed Santa Clause (unsure of circumstances :dunno: )
lol

-People threw snow balls at Dallas Cowboys?
Aww.

I read on CBSSportsline.com last week, that fans on opening night at the Linc were making fun of and yelling to Joe Jurivicious about his son who died of a disease.

That's pretty **** up if it's true which it prolly is. Philly fans aren't the only fans who go too far though.

Somehow I doubt that. Philly fans can be brutal sometimes, but they do have sympathy and aren't that heartless.

I agree Destiney's Child should of been booed off the stage.

Im not bringing up these incidents to bad mouth the city cause most are funny anyway.

Does anyone know why we booed Santa Claude? When, Where...

I forgot we cheered when Michael Irven almost broke his neck or w/e injury he got

Do you have a source for that, because I seriously doubt anyone would stoop that far. You'd be hard pressed to find someone who'd say such a thing especially when most of the people there would have children of their own.

I find that very absurd.

The worst part about that garbage is that some people will believe it, and they'll really think that Philly fans are that classless. It might be our own fault for acquiring such a reputation, but this is ridiculous.

Those ho's had every right to be booed, that's like wearing a Braves jeresy on centerfield. Besides, they suck and are talentless.

I was looking for it last night but i couldnt find it. It was in the football section on CBSSportsline.com like 2 weeks ago. The article was on teams fans with the lowest class.

That did happen. It was in one of the Florida papers. Or you can check the archive of the Philadelphia Inquirer and it will tell you there as well.

Here are the other events:

The notorious events are, in reality, blown out of proportion: the famous jeering at Michael Irvin's neck injury as he lay motionless on the Vet turf was only a small group of people (others were booing teammate Deion Sanders, who was jawing with fans near the end zone at the time). The guy in the Santa Claus suit who had snowballs thrown at him actually invited the fans to do so -- and talks about how much he enjoyed the experience to this day.

Others are, of course, not silver-lined: Phillies fans throwing batteries at Cardinals' outfielder J.D. Drew in 1999; the first hand transplant recipient, Matthew Scott, being booed as the ceremonial first pitch opening the 1999 baseball season dribbled across the plate; and the bottle rocket shot across the 700 Level near the end of a Eagles' blowout loss to the 49ers on Monday Night Football.

The bottle rocket incident forced the Eagles and the city to set up a court in the basement of the Vet to deal with the problems.
