It is vital we get at least 8 out of the 12 possible points. Its just important to play well at home, and just get out of the nasty 0-2 hole. Just gotta think positive... somehow..

Well I just hope this is a small bump in the road..kind of like a wake-up call to this team. I think the 0-2 start could be a blessing in disguise so the guys will get their act together.

10 goals in 2 games is a small bump in the road. Man, I wish I had your optimism...

is make or break. Either this team gets their affairs in order or they do not. Jackass has plenty of time to correct problems from the weekend. Wether or not he chooses to make them is a different story. He either has to bench several players (not dress them) or he has to drill it into their heads that this is their last chance. He can correct the flaws from the weekend of he can still think that his system is flawless. It's early, but given the state of the team from the past 6 years, it is not too early to ring an alarm bell. Sather has all week to ring that bell. He has to make sure that certain players hear it and adhere to it. Otherwise this upcoming season can be infinitely worse than we feared.

As much as I have always believed that as long as Messier and Lindros are still here, this team will go nowhere, the reeking embarrassment that the Rangers were this weekend can still be fixed (relative)...

But, unlike Sather, I don't think it can be done with the same players and by finally playing the Big Bad and yelling at these overpriced babies who don't have the heart, guts and nuts to give their all...Poti (defense as bad as ever), the dynamic dufi of defense in Maladog and Krispy Kreme (God, do they ever suck as expected), Carter, Rucinsky, Lindros hell maybe even Kovalev, Holik should all be benched..Yeah, I know that can't happen but a message has got to be sent AND bring in youthful energy and enthusiasm(any combo of Tjutin, Scott, Keefe, Moore (I know he's hurt a little), whoever..)....Only then can this team resume it's quest for the 8th PO spot.....

And while I'm no fan of Messier and his presence on the team, I sure as hell would still move the Messier line up to 2nd line in light of the invisibility and incompetnece of both the lIndros and Holik lines']...ANd once again, put Barnaby with HOlik, if Holik is your 3rd C...

but heard JD say it Sat. night. You guys have 11 of the next 13 at home. Thats 11 of the 1st 15 at home. Theres good abd bad to that. Good you can get in all the practice time you need and try to straighten things out. Bad if you don't get off to a good start at home it would be difficult to turn it around w/ all those road games. You gotta hope Leetch gets back soon.

Good you can get in allthe pracice time you need and try to strighten things out.

It depends. Since the new practice facility opened, it's gone virtually unused. You could literally live at this place and that's exactly what the idea was when it was built. Now's the time to start utilizing it's full potential instead of having everyone retreat to their Westchester mansions the minute practice breaks.

I say we go 2-2-2 the next 6 games. Wins vs. Atlanta & Carolina.
