LPHabsFan 10-13-2003, 09:41 AM If it's now, Id have to go with Ontario and co. But if it's all time Id have to go with Quebec and Co.
Bring_Bak_Damphousse 10-13-2003, 10:08 AM Quebec wins in net but besides Lecavalier and Mario the talent is alittle weak.
I voted for the Ontario/maritimes

Kevin Forbes 10-13-2003, 03:29 PM Also for atlantic canada
throw in Al MacInnis, Colin White, Glen Murray
And for Quebec, there's Damphousse, Turgeon, Desjardins, Laperriere, Lapointe, Perreault
chris_dub 10-13-2003, 03:51 PM BC would kick yo ass!
Martin Brodeur would keep us in and we'd make it to OT and Mario Lemieux would score and crush your dreams.
You can't beat the great one

Don'tcry4mejanhrdina 10-13-2003, 06:33 PM Quebec could go against the rest of Canada and win! :D With french goaltenders and Mario Lemieux, they would be unbeatable! :yo:
Johnny 10-13-2003, 06:58 PM Quebec could go against the rest of Canada and win! :D With french goaltenders and Mario Lemieux, they would be unbeatable! :yo:
Just stick Madden on Lemieux like the Devils did against the Pens in the 00-01 playoffs to take Lemieux off his game, problem solved.
Actually, I was thinking of a shutdown line of Ricci, Madden and Peca to go along with Foote and Pronger as far as matchups go against the oppositions top scoring line. Bring on Mario :D
Johnny 10-13-2003, 07:07 PM Devils didn't stick Madden on Lemieux in 00-01, they had Holik as their #1 checking center and he played vs the Jagr/Lemeiux line.
Are you sure about that? I could be wrong, no doubt. I do seem to recall Mr Lemieux getting oftly frustrated with Madden on one occasion during that series where he took a very bad penalty against Madden due to Madden getting under his skin, which was very un-Lemieux-like to say the least.
Either way, Lemieux would have his hands full, make no mistake about it.
Lard_Lad 10-13-2003, 07:46 PM I'm from B.C. and now live in Alberta, but I'd have to say Ontario has too much depth not to lose. The West has scoring and Quebec has goaltending, but Ontario doesn't really have any visible weak spots.
Brisebois 10-13-2003, 08:37 PM Quebec wins in net but besides Lecavalier and Mario the talent is alittle weak.
I voted for the Ontario/maritimes
You mean Ontario/Territories, I assume.
Also for atlantic canada
throw in Al MacInnis, Colin White, Glen Murray

We can add Alex Tanguay and P.M. Bouchard, to the mix.

You'd think since Sask produces the most NHLers per capita that they would be able to submit some players to the team.
How about McLaren, Warrener, Redden, Witt?
Or Hartnell, Friesen, Marleau, Fleury, Morrow?

I'll put Turco or Joseph in net for Ontario and take my chances.

CharlieGirl 10-15-2003, 11:24 AM Ontario/Nunavit/NWT - think about it... who is going to get to the goal to get a shot? Stevens is on the blue line with Tootoo up front - they'll be some boys going into the boards in that game!
Throw Sanderson (NWT) and Cassels (ONT) on that list...
goteam 10-22-2003, 08:05 AM Since he's born in Lloydminster, I think Alberta can take credit for him too :D
Actually Redden is from Neilburg......just outside of Lloydminster (Sask. side)

Man, i thought this was gonna be east coast vs. west..if that were the case, I'd easily pick east..hell, just putting quebec and ontario together, and they'd beat the rest of canada.
But then, no disrespect to any of the other canadian towns like vancouver and calgary..edmonton etc..but toronto and montreal is hockey in canada.
Just like CBC "hockey night in canada" is a game betweeen the Habs and Leafs.
