Thanks. I think what he says is pretty much true. The kid is being rushed a bit, but he's also shown so far he can handle it. I guess the tell-tale sign might be what happens after loss #1 (or bad loss #1).

If he wavers, then we all know what to do... otherwise... he seems mentally able to handle the fact that he's going to get shelled against the better teams. I personally wonder if putting him in against Detroit is wise but I guess going too long between games isn't smart either.

All I know so far is, QMJ would be a complete waste of time for him. He should be at the AHL level or better. Don't know how that can be arranged or if it can, but sending him back down to juniors would be a bad mistake. He won't develop much more than he already has at that level. He's ready for the next step. Whether that's the AHL or NHL remains to be seen I guess.
