Hey hey,

I'm heading down to the game against the 'Nucks on Saturday night and then hitting the Vikes-Broncos game on Sunday. I've never been to your city and wondering if you guys have any suggestions as per 'extracurricular activities'.

I'm a SINGLE 23 year old guy heading down with other guys my age, hoping to find a good place to party. We all like beer and girls. Please gimmie some advice. Thanks!

Also, how much can I expect to pay for a beer?

At the Xcel? $5-$5.75. The walk-around vendors are 5.75, I'm not sure what the counter beers are.. I think 5 or 5.25.

As for night life, I'm not really up on the latest spots, but downtown Minneapolis has a bunch. You also might like the Uptown area, but the bars aren't as dense there. There must be someone here who's gone out recently and can give better advice.. ;)

$5 for beer at the counter for the Wild games.

Before and after the Wild games there are:

Tom Reed's, Patrick McGoverns, and the Liffey (an Irish pub in the Holiday Inn)

All three are on 7th street, west of the Xcel. $3.50-$4 for beers

Vikings games: Hubert's across the street from the Dome is ok, but will be real crowded.

But after the game the real action will be on 1st Ave. Just head NW on Washington to 1st Ave. then follow the girls. or follow any odd numbered street (i.e. 7th street) That will take you right into downtown. Even numbered streets take you away from downtown.

It all depends on what you want, there is something for everyone.
