Who has been the best Canuck thus far. I know it's early, but I just wanted to hear who you guys thought has been our best player so far.

Not just for last nights' goal and assist either, but Ollie has been a beast in all three games. He went head to head with Iginla and came out on top, then against the Ryan Smyth line. And then of course, in Monday's loss, he scores a goal and an assist. jeffbrown 10-15-2003, 08:03 AM Agree with Ohlund being the best Canuck so far (plus I have him in my pool!). On a bit of a side note, I thought Malik played really solid -- nice control in the D-zone, great breakout passes -- in the first game. Didn't really think he deserved to be scratched in game 2 (for Slegr), but I suppose that's what the rotation is gonna be (Slegr, Malik, and Allen). Impossibles 10-15-2003, 08:07 AM I'd have to agree with ohlund. An honorable mention also goes to the Arvedson-Linden-Cooke line. Avery4Byng* 10-15-2003, 08:37 AM Easily Ohlund. SedinFan* 10-15-2003, 09:24 AM Ohlund then the Sedins. canucksfan 10-15-2003, 09:45 AM I also have to agree with Ohlund Red 10-15-2003, 09:56 AM Ohlund and Salo. Edler Statesman* 10-15-2003, 10:31 AM I hate to sound like a broken record, but I'm gonna have to go with Ohlund as well Rageinthecage 10-15-2003, 10:47 AM 1)Ohlund (it appears to be unanimous) 2)Salo (solid and poised so far) 3)Cooke (if for nothing else but the 3 pt. effort) colonel_korn 10-15-2003, 11:05 AM Just to be different, I'll say Hedberg. Can't argue with a 0.00 GAA and a 1.00 SV%. ;) PhillyNucksFan 10-15-2003, 04:21 PM 1) Ohlund 2) Cooke 3) Sedins 4) King ( well, even though only 2 games, cant argue with his play when he made the most of it) 5) Hedberg, only 1 game, yes, but like he said, u cant argue 0.00 GA and 100% SV. 6) Salo Most disappointing canuck?? not really anyone, since I assumed and expected Sopel to be bad defensively again... :( Rageinthecage 10-15-2003, 06:26 PM 1) Ohlund 2) Cooke 3) Sedins 4) King ( well, even though only 2 games, cant argue with his play when he made the most of it) 5) Hedberg, only 1 game, yes, but like he said, u cant argue 0.00 GA and 100% SV. 6) Salo Most disappointing canuck?? not really anyone, since I assumed and expected Sopel to be bad defensively again... :( The Sedins are one player again? I must have missed the memo. http://www.hfboards.com/images/smilies/wink.gif I'll reserve my judgement for Hedberg when he has a chance to face more than 14 predominantly perimeter shots. Notice how I pust " S " at the end.. I meant both.. :) wildslip 10-15-2003, 08:19 PM none of the canucks have been good this year cause they all lick the bag!!! haha Mr. Canucklehead 10-15-2003, 09:45 PM Ohlund, The Sedins, Cooke, and Linden. ~Canucklehead~ LaVal 10-16-2003, 04:45 AM Most disappointing canuck?? not really anyone Naslund? Cloutier? Allen? all have had pretty poor starts to the season. NFITO 10-16-2003, 05:55 AM without a doubt it's Ohlund, as everyone seems to be able to see quite clearly! but our defense for the most part has played well... Jovo has also looked good out there... and Salo has probably been our 2nd best all around dman after Ohlund. upfront, I'd say that all our lines have looked pretty decent... the top line isn't scoring yet, but like last season, they will after a few games... and when they bust out, they'll stay near the top.... the one thing that has impressed me so far has been Naslund and Bertuzzi's focus on defense... at least it seems like that to me, that they're much more interested in covering their defensive assignments... especially Naslund... tonight ofcourse will be their big test at both ends of the rink! Morrison has looked good this season so far... his development is still going, and he's not at the top of his game like his linemates yet... I expect still better things from him. Both Sedins have been playing well... Henrik seems to have picked up where he left off last season, but Daniel seems to have taken a turn for the better... seems a lot more confident out there. The checking line is looking good too, although I am still concerned about seeing Linden at center this season... hopefully he proves us doubters wrong, but I still feel that right wing is the position for him. but the 4th line IMO has been the best of all... it's because they seem to be doing much more than expected from a 4th line... they're scoring, and still playing a tight gritty game... Chubarov also looks pretty damn good this season! Goaltending... too early... Cloutier seems like he has in the past... a great game, followed by an okay one... Hedberg did get the shutout, but in no small part to the Canucks dominating that game - only 14 shots on him, and not too many great chances, although he did make a couple of big stops. nazzy 10-16-2003, 06:07 AM Mattias Ohlund and Sami Salo have played really well in my opinion, both have been very very steady. | ||
