If you did see the Yotes game on TV...

... it was the worst broadcast I've ever seen by Fox Sports. It was done by Fox Sports Arizona. Did anybody else here on the board see their broadcast? It was terrible. They constantly mispronounced names, had poor camera work, and lost the picture during the game for 10-15 seconds.
I encourage anybody to send complaint letters to Fox Sports Arizona at asktheasr@foxsports.net.
Here's my letter:

To whom it may concern,
I understand the Florida Panthers are in the Eastern Conference and your announcers don't see the team very often, but I thought the work of the play-by-play announcer tonight was as bad as I've seen in any game in years.
As an avid Florida Panthers hockey fan and television viewer, I cannot believe you can put this guy on the air.
To put the facts behind my opinions. Your play-by-play announcer, throughout the entire evening, called Jaroslav Bednar (#27) as Kristian Huselius (#22). If you look at the tape, he misidentified him close to ten times. He also misidentified players regularly through the entire game.
Plus he mispronounced several names. According to the NHL guide given to all broadcasters, Branislav Mezei's last name is said (MEH-tzay) not (mez-eye). Also, Jay Bouwmeester's last name is pronounced (Bo-mister), not (Bo-meester). Your color guy couldn't even say Bouwmeester's name at all at one point. It was pathetic. This is PROFESSIONAL hockey and these broadcasters have to be professional enough TO GET IT RIGHT!!!
Don't your broadcasters do their homework to make sure they have the right pronunciations?? Don't they realize fans from other teams are watching these games via satellite or cable? I would suggest you tell your broadcasters to ask the home team's announcers to find out how to say names correctly. On top of all the mistakes, your camera work and production was poor. Simply said, the quality of your broadcast, technically and journalistically, was not good and below the standards of Fox Sports. You should be embarrassed!!

Sounds almost as bad as when I saw Chris Berman co-host NHL2nite over 2 years ago. Pronouncing Khabibulin as "Cabby-bull-in" and Zelepukin as "Zeel-puck-in" amongst other nonsensical mispronunciations. Needless to say, I haven't seen him back co-hosting that show since.

My personal favourite was when they lost the main feed, so the resorted to a shot of the game being broadcast on the scoreboard.

Get A grip pal, Curt Keilback and Charlie Simmer are a couple of the best broadcasters in the biz. Your rant is almost as lame as your team.

The broadcast of today's game was the worst one that I have ever seen. It was difficult to watch the game with the camera constantly focused on everything but the puck. While I am pretty indifferent about the commentators, the on-ice sound quality was really, really bad also. However, the yotes winning helped the broadcast's entertainment value.

I will vouch for the poor effort. The Coyotes are often on the receiving end of incredibly poor camera work, like a high school game. I'll take the NHL in any form but this can be hard on the eyes. I know who players are so i do not pay attention to much they have to say but i could see where it could get annoying. Simmer usually is not bad though and the main commentator, Keilback is certainly not the worst in the Business. The presentation though is awful, i find they rival the Pittsburgh Penguins for the worst television effort.

That was classic, although one wonders why the cameraman didn't just point the camera down to the ice. Oh well, maybe the grace under pressure thing isn't for everyone.

im a blots fan.. watched the game since the Lightning are playing the Coyotes tonight.. and i have to agree.. that announcing crew is horrible.. i saw them once or twice last year... and they just make me cringe.. they mispronounce so many names.. for awhile in the 1st period they were calling trenka "trunneka" and i was trying to figure out who the new defensemen was for Fla...

and yes.. that switch to the scoreboard was classic.. ugh!

Michael... that's pretty funny... I noticed the same thing about Trnka.
I just lost it when the color guy tried to say Bouwmeester and he said it something BOUGH-muster or something... it was just bad.

5-1 against Tampa? Even your fellow Phoenix fans are admitting that the camerawork was poor. Get a grip....

Yeah I was it I didn't know what they were fricking doing.. the scoreboard thing was so funny I thought they had monkeys working the camra. And the Announcers suck it makes Rimer and Potvin look like hall of fame announcers. I still watched the game up to the 2nd period with the volume then I had to turn it off. I sware I could have done the Play by play better and I'm 16 years old!

This is my first season with NHL Center Ice, and I just thought that was the worst broadcasting I have ever heard, not to mention the camera work! I only was able to watch the 1st, but that was plenty enought! It was...just...not right
