Smart move to finally tie up Tommy. Added depth on D can only be a good thing. And yes, this has gotta mean Martin gets sent down once Turner is back.

Most likely. Hope this doesn't shake Hale and/or Martin's confidence.

I feel Hale and Martin will both be fine confidence-wise when they eventually are demoted to Albany for more seasoning. No shame in what they've done so far with the big club and they'll both benefit a ton from games in the AHL where they can fine tune to higher tempos then they faced at the college level. Great to see Albelin finally locked in as a player here. He still has plenty left to give to the Devils for one last season as evidenced by his strong preseason efforts following a very solid Stanley Cup presence when called on. Bet he's relieved to no end to finally have some resolution as to what his role will be with the team. Thankfully Lou didn't string him along any longer then necessary as this could have been a potential downer if the uncertainties had lasted through December.
