Rimouski wants prospects and draft pick.
Chicoutimi wants players who will contribute to the team right now.
At the first look, this trade is better for the Sags, who gave not too much for probably one of the best QB of the league, in Power Play. Jean-Sebastien Coté is a little pest and a great player in SH situations. Both have Memorial Cup experience, by playing for Rimouski last year.
Roberge played great since the start of the year a Rimouski, and i dont know the plans of Richard Martel, but if he trade Alex Vincent, Roberge will be a really good back-up for Sylvain Michaud.
Maixime Tanguay is a very talented player, but he got no ice-time in Chicoutimi. In Rimouski he will play on the top 2 lines and will have power-play time. I think he's a little bit late in his formation because he did'nt play last year on the fourth line with the Sags, and this year, on the third line, he got no winger to have some great chance with.
It is a great deal for chicoutimi; Coulombe is one of the best d in the league, especially on special units, which we needed much, coté is a good top lines fowards that works hard every shifts and both will take advantage of the huge ice of the CGV.
Roberge will do the job as backup as I expects a trade of a 20 years old, as we hold too much. Its bad to loose tanguay as I see good future for him but to get quality you need to give up quality. The sags are going for championship this year and it is a good move for that...

I think that sums it up. Rimouski is trying to win the Patrice Cormier sweepstakes and to stockpile other young players.
Does the #1 pick in the LHJMQ midget draft automatically go to the league's worst team? Or has it been changed to a weighted lottery?

I think Coulombe has been underrated this year, mainly because he played on such a horrible team before he was traded to the Sags.

There is a lottery. The worst of the West vs. the worst of the East.
But the #2 team should pick Yann Sauvé, witch is a Luc Bourdon kind of player, with maybe better offensive habilities.
