SedinFan* 10-16-2003, 12:51 PM Haven't seen it rain like this in months!
Got a leak in my roof, back part of the house was somewhat flooded, not fun cleaning it up.
What's it like in your part of the world? If you say sunny and hot, I will personally hurt you. :D
Edler Statesman* 10-16-2003, 01:00 PM Sunny and hot
but the clouds and light rain are blocking it out
Thalia 10-16-2003, 01:03 PM http://www.ocipep.gc.ca/info_pro/self_help_ad/general/images/cover_floods.jpg
It's raining non-stop over here on the Island. I like it though. The house is very cozy, got my radiant heater on and just looking at the rain pelt against my windows til the game begins. :D
SedinFan* 10-16-2003, 01:04 PM Damn you and your no leaks.
Canadian Chris 10-16-2003, 01:14 PM Well...it's cold, it's windy, and it's going to snow.
This morning driving to school, I kept seeing all these cars with snow on them....NOT SO COOL!
I'm guessing there was a nice little flurry/wet snow last night after I had gone to bed...GRRRRRRRRR
Ahhh yessss. Rain. Well, at least the dog isn't trying to guilt me into going out! Sure makes me appreciate the almost three solid months of sun we had over the summer.
Good luck with that leak. Went through the same thing a couple of years ago, but a bit of that roofing tar, and it's been great ever since.
nucks2001 10-16-2003, 01:34 PM as long as the sun never shows its ugly face again I'm happy
I Hate You All* 10-16-2003, 01:43 PM Our #%&@ing carport is flooding. >: |

Amen. We've been long overdue for a grey, cold West Coast rainstorm.
Edonator 10-16-2003, 01:52 PM well, this is vancouver weather.
its raining like hell over in coquitlam.
insurance ran out on my car yesterday, and i had to walk to school.
i was afraid that i was gonna get swept down with what seemed like a flood coming down johnson.
its raining like hell.
although, i think that this indicates a one sided victory for the nucks tonite :yo:

colonel_korn 10-16-2003, 02:23 PM Shhhhh... ;)
LOL, well, it's pretty obvious. Vancouver Island, excessive use of smilies, big crush on Naslund...
The 100+ posts over a few days is a big giveaway too.
Kootnuck 10-16-2003, 03:30 PM Its even raining here is Cranbrook...sorta nice after 3months no rain and tons of fires...oooo...the new Muse is hot!!

Thalia 10-16-2003, 06:47 PM Ahhhh, tis still pouring rain out over here on the Island; hasn't let up for a second since last night. Nothing beats the freshness of the cool westcoast weather. I hope it rains for two more days.
Who out there DOESN'T enjoy falling asleep to the rain... probably not many.
I love the rain. :D  :handclap:
Vinnie 10-16-2003, 06:53 PM Except for the flooded streets/parking lots, I love the rain...especially when it's raining as much as this. It's too cold to do anything outside, so what's the point of sunshine at this time of year?
nazzy19o 10-16-2003, 07:34 PM yes i am, my practice got cancelled so i got to watch the whole hockey game hehe..but not it sucks.

What part of the Island do you live. I have friends and relatives all over the Island.
Sounds like you guys are really getting a big rainfall, other than damage, I can't say I feel sorry for you guys. Where I am from Prince Rupert, we get a lot more rain than you.
KOMO_ROCKS 10-16-2003, 11:51 PM lot of rain in Richmond , B.C
Yammer 10-17-2003, 11:04 AM I biked home in the downpour. It was exhilarating. I passed a jogger and another cyclist and we all had these "I can't believe I'm doing this" type grins.
IceMelter 10-17-2003, 11:55 AM I can get used to this staying in and watching movies and being lazy kind of weather.
Basically non-stop 48 hours in Victoria
KOMO_ROCKS 10-17-2003, 12:01 PM Basically non-stop 48 hours in Victoria
like this for most of the lower mainland
Avery4Byng* 10-17-2003, 12:10 PM It is even raining 2 days in a row here in Kelowna... Not as hard today but still its rain. We never get rain! :dunno:
evman150* 10-17-2003, 01:06 PM My basement is flooding.
I hate rain.
Yammer 10-17-2003, 02:39 PM Well, I love the rain. Providing it isn't this ridiculous for much longer, my basement's getting wet too. But I was kinda worried this summer when the city was considering water restrictions. I want that reservoir FULL.
Kickassguy 10-17-2003, 07:11 PM Well, the downpour's finally stopped here in Richmond. Wow. Vancouver weather is back with a vengeance.

Yeah, I had to kind of laugh at how PC the water police were getting. Not that conserving water is bad... but did anyone really believe it wasn't going to rain serious amounts in October... this was Vancouver after all. heh. There were all these people running around telling on their neighbours for watering their gardens 10 minutes longer than was allowable.
KirkP 10-17-2003, 10:35 PM Well, despite the rain, I still managed to get a speeding ticket on Nordel way today.. 87 in a 60 zone in the rain. Just my luck, I got the one cop in all of Surrey who was actually doing his job. ;)

Westwood Plateau? Only thing you have to worry about is a leaky roof.
I live near the Coquitlam River and I'm hoping it doesn't overflow. However, White Rock is getting shafted...that municipality has a pretty bad pass-the-buck government. Sewers are getting backed up EVERYWHERE and residents were having to get their own pumps to pump out sewage from getting into their homes.
But for now, the clouds are passing to the north of the Lower Mainland. Weatherman says it's coming back for the week though. And for some reason, the resevoirs STILL aren't full. Yikes...pretty damn dry summer it was...
Ironchef Chris Wok* 10-19-2003, 06:36 AM God I'm homesick.
Chevy Cheveldae 10-19-2003, 07:05 AM Damn ... it's snowing here right now
A lot of wind and it's getting colder and colder for each day
I hate this period between autumn and winter - it takes like 2 months for the snow to really settle down and the temperature to be freezing
I just hate it ......
LaVal 10-19-2003, 12:35 PM it's been raining in Kelowna for 4 or 5 days straight.
SedinFan* 10-19-2003, 02:35 PM What a beauuuuuuuuuuuuutiful day in Vancouver today!
Oh it was beautiful in Southern Sask today, something around +24...
No rain, no clouds, just clear blue sky...
Boy was it nice. :D
