I'll say it again. Until I see them with my own two eyes at the game tomorrow night, I'm not saying anything for or against them. My experience is that pictures don't *always* capture things right.

I don't need to see it more clearly. I can already tell it looks like garbage. That bull on the front almost looks like it got clocked upside the head. And who on EARTH thought incorporating that red was a good idea!? :rolleyes:

I just wonder why fans from other teams feel the need to come here and insult the new third when they can do it just as well on the NHL board.

I also find it somewhat ironic that fans from teams with what I consider some of the worst current 3rds feel the need to cast stones the most. But whatever makes you happy guys.

Oh chill out. If bashing on your 3rd jersey is the only criticism being leveled at your team, then that probably means the Stars are doing pretty well.

And why is it we don't have the right to criticize someone else's third jersey if we have one that sucks too? We didn't design them.

This jersey looks OK to me. I'm not sure what all the fuss is about. It's supposed to have different colors. That's what makes it a 3rd jersey. And at least they bothered to design a new logo, which is more than what some other teams have done (Flyers anyone??).

My only bone is that if they wanted a new logo they should have made a NEW logo. This one is too similar to the NFL Houston Texans. I would have like to haveseen them do something with the armpatch with the outline of Texas or maybe update the old North Star jerseys. I always liked those colors. I would have like to have seen something other than black, since most teams seem to have a black 3rd jersey.

Guys, my response was a little on the strong side, but since you don't post here very often, it was just a little bit of the 'overmodding' sense coming into play. Of course, I had been having a pretty bad couple of days, so that probably didn't help things.

Anyway, it's OK that you don't like the thirds (since I don't really like Calgary's or Colorado's but others may). I don't care about it one way or another after seeing it in action. Since it's not that great to me, I can just use the money I saved on it for a jersey I like, like the Flames' new home or something. :)

I'm not from Dallas, but I think the jersey is kinda neat. The one thing I don't like it the stars and the lines on the bull's face. I also kind of don't like the red, I would rather of seen a lighter green, like that on the old North Star's jersey. I was going to get a white Tugnutt jersey, but I just might get the new one.

I agree 100%. When I first saw a picture of the new jerseys online, I thought they looked horrible. The Stars are wearing them in tonight's game and they don't look bad at all. I wonder if I'll feel the same about the Coyotes new jerseys when I finally get a chance to see them on tv.

I think everyone is adopting red in their jerseys because they think they can repeat the Red WIngs success over the last 10 years

wow, maybe if the fans stood firmly against it they wont use it, look what happened in NY with the islanders. I wish instead of new 3rd jerseys they would try to approach a more retro look like what the north stars had, same for buffalo go back to blue and gold for 3rd jersey. its all marketing though. and i dont know about anyone else but Im sick of seeing red and black jerseys.

The concept of a constellation in the bull's head is very creative...the shock is probably that it's so wildly different from what you normally see in a Stars jersey.

It's kind of like if the Red Wings decided to make a 3rd jersey consisting of gold and brown as its colors.

I find the Avs 3rd jersey to be kind of plain, but they kept the burgundy color so it still relates to their normal jersey.

The design is kinda cool, but I don't know about those colors. To be honest, most of the third jerseys I've seen look kinda tacky. Honestly, though, nothing could be worse than having to skate the Gordon's Fisherman around the ice.:p It could be worse.

Pretty much it's a weasel (technically an ermine). It's the logo from Kärpät in the Finnish SM-Liiga. Their site is http://www.oulunkarpat.fi . You can probably find some bigger versions there.

That is a bull's head??? I was sure that it was a uterus (like the ones from fourth grade health class that were all colorful--you know, 'You and Your Reproductive Tract' cartoons). I guess the things that I thought were ovum are tiny little microscopic stars???
