ISLES SEEKING HOME REMEDY
Rick DiPietro is expected to be in nets again tonight against Roberto Luongo and the Panthers, while Stirling said Justin Papineau would be in the lineup "for sure." He hinted that Papineau, his "ace in the hole," may also see time on the power play, a unit that's struggled in getting off to a 1-for-14 start.
"Our power play has to get better," Stirling said. "I'd like to have a few more goals."

Goalies' paths intersect
Roberto Luongo was traded to Florida in 2000 by the Islanders, who then drafted Rick DiPietro No. 1. They meet again tonight.
''I won't lie, it'd be nice to win the game,'' Luongo said. ``Basically, it's one game. It's going to be extra nice if we win because of the fact that it's there.''
Luongo has allowed six goals in four games. One was a screened shot he never saw. Another was a double deflection. There was a two-on-one down low that was a gimme.

Potvin's home again
Asked whether the team has tried to make people forget the past, Potvin said: "It's a tough question. Because that's what's happened. There hasn't been a big union of management and alumni."
"Look at the players they've had in the organization," Potvin said. "Florida has got (Roberto) Luongo, (Olli) Jokinen. We played Carolina the other night, they had Kevin Weekes in goal.
"In an ideal world you want to keep the young players together and grow, which is what we're seeing here in South Florida. I guess it wasn't possible on Long Island."
