How come Alfredson just played 11:51 against San Jose? Actually less than Van Allen... He had shifts until the end so it's not that he got hurt...

As long as the Sens were ahead, the coach probably figured he would spare his captain. Martin probably does a better job of managing Alfie's physical health than Alfie does himself. If Alfie was hurting, you'll never hear about it officially.
