Is Visnovsky for Real?

He's got 6 points after 5 games and looks to be running the PP along with Modry.

I haven't seen any games. Does he look like a new man that is finally realizing all his skill or has he just gotten lucky over the past few games picking up some cheap assists?

Anyone that has watched him, please let me know. thanks.

He always got PP time in the past years.

He plays more aggressive now and with more self-confidence and he takes initiative. He just continues his play from the second part of last season and the Worldchampionships.

I think he knew his skills - good shot, fast, puck movement but he was soft and inconsistant. Besides it's not a player (and he still isn't) who can play 25 minutes per game, at least not for 82 straight games.

Personally, I think he's always been a bad ass! Plain and simple! He was one of our best last year, and his rookie year. When fans started to ride him, it was because every mistake he made he was benched for a week along with Karalahti. I don't want to go to deep into this subject because it seems very repetitive. He's always had major skill, and speed to boot. But never got his window due to Modry. And most Kings' fans are still scratching their heads on this one (at least I am). If Visnovsky got the same time per game like Modry and the confidence that AM gives him, I think everyone would be amazed! 25 minutes would be nothing to this guy, because he'll beat you with skill and brains. It's not always about size. Rafalski is about the same size but he is given the confidence. If Schneider was still here Visnovsky would not have had this opportunity to show everyone what he is really about. All along it should have been Schneider and Visnovsky, not Schneider and Modry on the PP, and that's why everybody is starting to notice Visnovsky..........IMO!

He's also started to pick up the slack defensively with the injuries to Miller and Norstrom; something which has obviously garnered him some attention.

haha, its not that he doesn't get the same time, it's just that the guy is so injury prone, we can only use him sporatically. :p that being said, i like him when he's playing for us, it's just a shame he's always gets a few injuries every year.

I know what you mean. I cringed every time I saw him block a shot in Pittsburgh and then go limping off the ice.

All along it should have been Schneider and Visnovsky, not Schneider and Modry on the PP,

And now it should be Corvo & Visnovsky...

Here's hoping to Modry bolting as a UFA this season.

I know he was injured a bit last year. But Demers has said in the past that this guy has a huge thresh hold for pain. He seems to heal quicker than others when he does get injured and he's unbelievably agile. Most of the service he gets from Modry is on the suicide level anyways. He's always bailing that guy out.

He's good. He's like Rafalski but skates better. I have never seen anyone skate backwards as fast as Lubo. Truly amazing.

maybe he's decided to take over where schnieder left off...he certainly has the potential...

but wat i miss most about visnovsky's play since last year was how he got in a habit of throwing hip checks...no matter where he was, offensive or defensive zone...he'll see a guy coming and throw a hip check...it was pretty entertaining

Visnovsky still is not this incredible defender, but he does look like he did during his rookie season, which almost got him into the all star game.
