Federov and Spezza

Federov was just dumped onto the waiver wire in my league. I have pretty high priority and I'm very tempted to lay a claim on him. Is he just starting off slow, or is there something that is giving him problems (injury, off ice stuff, etc.)? I think he is worth dropping deadmarsh for as it doesn't appear that deader will be playing anytime soon. Thoughts on this?

Also, will Spezza see a decrease in ice time now that Havlat is back? He has been doing quite well so far, should I keep him or try to trade him? I have Demitra, Sakic, Doan at center (possibly Federov if I successfully claim him) so I could move Doan or Spezza and be okay, I don't know how much I could get back for either of those two though. I might just keep Doan and Spezza and dump them when Gabs or Comrie return or pick up someone who is on a hot streak.

I would definitely drop Deadmarsh to put in a claim for Fedorov, no doubt.

As for Spezza.. Not sure.. I'd probably keep him.

Anaheim has just started off slow this year, Federov is healthy and should start putting some points up soon enough. Drop Deadmarsh for him. And I`d hang onto Spezza.

sundin just got dumped too. i only had 3 D-men, so I dropped Deader to pick up Staois, but I will put the claim on Federov and have Staois as the guy to drop. i could also hang onto staois and drop either lehtinen or doan. suggestions?

If Fedorov is on the waiver wire, you'd be crazy not to lay a claim. If anything you can trade one of your great top three centers to plug a hole elsewhere on your team through a trade. Also, keep Spezza. Kid is going to bust out this year.

geez, gotta love when guys give up on stud players after two weeks. dump lehtinen and doan and grab sergei and mats. don't even think twice about it.
