Manchester Dmen

Are Manchester Defensemen so bad that we are forced to use Zizka???? What about Rullier , Seeley or Grebs .. I dont think they can do worse than that penalty machine. Oh yeah one more think,,,, we should be undefeated in my opinion.... should of won at Detroit, should of won last night

Ziz really has stunk it up this time with the big club. Really ugly hockey. Grebs is certainly better in his own end then Ziz is and given the fact that he IS going to be one of our future star D I would rather see him up here getting the mins and learning then watching Ziz kill us every night. I mean, he was responsible for three goals (or making things happen for the other team to give them the chance to score them) and could have been for two more since he came up. I like the kid but so far no good. Send him down and give someone else the shot. He is young enough to rebound and even come back up this year and contribute once he gets his confidence back.

i think zizka will stay with the big club but won't play the next game against phily. i bet strbak will get the start tuesday instead of tomas. kings also need to dress brennan for that game to counter the very physical flyers team.

Probably true. I hope that Strbak puts a solid 60 mins together and takes the spot away from zizka. I saw flashes of his being able to in camp but he didn't put it together for the whole 60. What he did well he was really good at, what he was only average at could be a liability.

I also think that the goocher in this scenario will be us seeing Matty come back against Philly. I was at HS this morning and he was working like he was going to be in the line up. I asked him and he just put his hand to his lips. That doesn't mean he will, but it doesn't mean he won't either.

I think he will be back against Philly.

I don't want to burst any bubbles for you folks but, I really doubt that Grebes will be called up any time soon. He has looked marginal at best and keeps gettting pounded or coughs the puck up. Looks like he has no confidence.

The two best dmen for Manch right now are Muir and Rullier. Both are a physical presence and keep thge rront of the net clear. they both have goals as well.

I think that the Monarchs faithfull were a bit schocked to see Zizka make the parent club. He will have moments of offensive spark, but has a tough time clearing in front of the net.

I'd have to agree with the Zizka slamming, he's been unimpressive but he's not the only one to be blamed. Modry looks disgraceful out there, but then again he always has! His decisions are at snail pace!

As far as Brennan goes "jfont"? I'm absolutely disgusted with AM's decisions every night! I love our coach, but we simply are the softest team in the league! We are not respected plain and simple, and we don't have the players out there to police our situations. Every *****ing team in this league dresses two to three players (heavyweights) that can handle the business. We simply skate by! And, it's not fair to Lappy to handle all of our problems. He is a middleweight plain and simple and although he has the balls to take on any heavyweight around it's just not fair to him or the team.
Sorry to say folks (and i'm not trying to be negative or a jinx) but until AM sorts this situation out, we will still have injuries and other teams will continue to abuse our top players. I'm not saying it's all the blame (injuries), but they can be prevented if teams think twice about who we're lining up.
Colorado gave up a top prospect and Messier to get Worrell. And they also signed Cummins. Even our lame ass next door neigbors went out and picked up Simpson and Burnett. I could go down every team, and name all of em'! Bottom line is we make excuses and say that Brennan and Flinn can't play, it's a joke in my eyes! No Norton, Flinn, Brennan = no balls. And we definitely lack them here. Modry, Strbak, Zizka, Visnovsky, Gleason, and Holland are not very scary. And when Miller and Matty come back they won't fight either.
It's time for other teams to start getting pounded!
