Why were the Penguins wearing their white unis? :dunno:
One thing that bugged me about last night's game...Big McLargehuge 10-19-2003, 09:26 AM Why were the Penguins wearing their white unis? :dunno: Sixty Six 10-19-2003, 09:52 AM the trib said... the habs are wearing throwback unis against the original 6 teams, so the wings asked to wear red so they didn't need to bring two sets of jersey's. it is somewhere at www.penguinslive.com DJ Spinoza 10-19-2003, 10:36 AM Yes, that's what happened. Looks like the jersey switch worked well.;) Sixty Six 10-19-2003, 10:53 AM Yes, that's what happened. Looks like the jersey switch worked well.;) Maybe we can wear our white jersey's all the time :yo: :dunno:  Koltsov71 10-19-2003, 10:53 AM I don't know about you guys, but I think the home/away switch is dumb. AEKaki 10-19-2003, 10:58 AM I don't know about you guys, but I think the home/away switch is dumb. I agree Sixty Six 10-19-2003, 11:45 AM I agree ME TOO Jacob 10-19-2003, 11:49 AM Same here. The good guys should always be wearing white. Wingboy2999 10-19-2003, 05:11 PM Yeah, I would prefer white to be home and dark to be away. As far as the switch, I was really confused at the start of the game too. My friends and I were trying to figure it out. Also, just wondering, does Lemieux not warm up with the team regularly? I didn't see him on the ice for warm ups and thought maybe he was sitting for some reason. (Don't ask me what......) Der Schweinehund 10-20-2003, 03:28 AM Flipping from light-to-dark for home is not dumb to me. What is dumb is the fact that basically every team (save the Wings) goes through a massive jersey/logo/color makeover every three-to-five years. No other sport has had this many changes so frequently - when you are struggling with identity problems, you don't keep changing your outfits. But of course, it is a money making scheme to make suckers like me shell out $300 every couple of years for a new jersey. | ||
