Hey gang sorry to wonder into enemy territory :p BUT alot of posters over on the Rangers Board are a wee bit upset at signing Rheaume instead of bringing up a youngster.

I for one like the signing, but I need some more info on him. I remember him as a good defensive player, who hits and can win alot of faceoffs. A guy who brings energy (which the Rangers desperately need!!) every time he is on the ice.

How about a honest scouting report for the enemies, please

Hey why not, I did ask nice. I wonder into Devil land trying to be nice and look what it gets me. :rolly:

Look all I wanted was a honest report on the guy because he was basically being crucified on the Rangers Board. Or maybe that was Sather being hung.

Maybe I should just go ask the Thrashers Board. I thought that he was a good player for the Devils in the Cup and I could get some answers here.

You might be better off asking on the Thrashers board, he wasn't with the Devils very long.

I'll give you some honesty about Pascal. He is a great 4th line center. You are correct about his defense. He can do just about anything you want . . . except score goals. He won't help your offense, but he is a high-energy, defensive minded center. You guys have enough offense anyway. Pascal will definitely help the Rangers.

Pascal really stepped up his play big time when Scott Gomez was out of the lineup with the whiplash injury after he collided with Grant Marshall in the first round. His role increased pretty significantly when we lost Gomez and he stepped up to the challenge brilliantly with more ice time then he was ever accustomed to seeing. He's strong on faceoffs and plays good man to man stifling defense. He doesn't turn the puck over much and can kill penalties pretty proficiently. Good guy to have on your side. Him and Rupp both filled in admirably for the loss of Joe Nieuwendyk in the finals.

His ideal role is to center a 4th/utility line on a neutral zone trap team.

You know, like Bobby Holik. Rheaume played the same basic role in Devils Cup 2003 as Holik did in Devils Cup 1995.

I really don't see what he adds to the Rangers.

Honestly he is a good pick up for you guys, he kills penalties, he is mainly a checking foward 4th liner.....BUt he played an important role on the Devils.....He wont score many goals but he may pop in 5-10 goals if he stays around with the rangers, but he mainly is a defensive specialist, his face off skill arent the greatest.....Finally Slats makes a good move,
