Well Burnett is a heavyweight and Stevenson is more like a middle weight. I don't think we could have used him.

I just remembered how effective he was in the later part of the season and in the playoffs. I would just like to have some role players, like a McCarty. Every team needs those roughnecks. Im not sure if its lack of confidence with our team, even with guys like Simpson and Garrett, the team seems to play the puck too much. They need to be more assertive otherwise the punishment they receive will make them think twice. effecting their scoring. We lost guys like Marc and that swede (for some reason i forgot his name) who at least was good at holding the puck in the offensive zone and won battles along the boards. Thats one of the biggest things ive noticed. We need that to open cutters and scoring oportunits, we need guys standing in front of the net.

Stevenson would do well on any offensive line and can make some room for other players. So what if he gets like 5-10 goals, he has a role to play along the boards and in front of the net. Leclerc wont be back anytime soon, and he only had one good year of being a true Power forward (when he got 20 goals and 100+ pim).

I just want the cohesion they had in the playoffs, but i guess its different when they are scared of actually fighting during the season. I want to see reaction like when Boyton did when Salei boarded Thornton, I want to see the same when our fiesty Chistov gets elbowed by bastardly dmen.

I don't think we need a player like him. We have good team toughness. Leclerc will add to our team toughness when he returns. Carney is apart of team toughness as well. Simpson has added to our team toughness...etc...We have an official heavyweight in Burnett.
