Jooce81 10-23-2003, 06:26 AM the kings will win, probably in a shutout.... If the sabs come back from this roadtrip with only 1 win, i think its time to clean house and start over, trade away brown, zhitnik, ect, and play some kids, and hire a motivating coach.
jfont 10-23-2003, 06:49 AM kings played a great game against the flyers tuesday nite. i expect them to be up for tonight's game as well...kings still missing deadmarsh, allison, norstrom and miller.
We might be the worst team in the league. I picked the Kings to win this one.
LALALALALALAFONTAINE 10-23-2003, 08:20 AM We're tied for 8th place right now.
Kozak72 10-23-2003, 11:28 AM We're tied for 8th place right now.
Lucky to be in top 8.
The team is playing like poop. When you are getting outscored like they are, there is a real problem. Hope they fix it soon, so they can stay in the top 8.
KillToronto 10-23-2003, 11:31 AM I'm excited because Palffy is on my fantasy team. He should have a hell of a night :handclap: .
... but I do hope the Sabres win.
Slangston 10-23-2003, 02:15 PM Sabres win in a low scoring game.
What can you say? I'm an optimist.

It's a realistic prediction. The Sabres usually come up with a good effort after a bad stinker.
cybresabre 10-23-2003, 06:27 PM 2-0 buffalo
looks like peters fought pretty well- landed some good shots from what i saw.
(thank you channel 4)
Rowsdower 10-23-2003, 06:34 PM I noticed Afinoganov isn't in the lineup...is he injured or a healthy scratch?
cybresabre 10-23-2003, 06:45 PM Healthy, I believe.
Mr Brownstone 10-23-2003, 06:51 PM I don't know what the hell got into these boys but if they'd play like this every night, they'd be guaranteed a playoff spot.
cybresabre 10-23-2003, 06:53 PM woo hoo 3-0!
according to yahoo! mair just scored his 0th goal of the year "Buffalo 8:43, Adam Mair 0 (J.P. Dumont, Chris Taylor) "
Takeo 10-23-2003, 07:12 PM Why does it take an embarassing loss to motivate this team? Someone please enlighten me...
Ruckus007 10-23-2003, 07:14 PM I don't know what the hell got into these boys but if they'd play like this every night, they'd be guaranteed a playoff spot.
Hope they do but don't count on it. Brown also netted his 0th goal of the season (courtesy of ESPN.com), shorthanded no less. 4-0 through two.
cybresabre 10-23-2003, 07:16 PM yeah, while pittis was in the box.
according to Yahoo! Pittis Assisted on brown's shorty at the same time.
"Buffalo 19:00, Curtis Brown 1 (shorthanded) (Alexei Zhitnik, Domenic Pittis) "
wow, yahoo's pretty weak.

You're probably right. This win means little unless we come out strong tomorrow night. The split personality of this team is incredibly frustrating.
cybresabre 10-23-2003, 08:05 PM well, i don't mind the split personality as long as whenever we have a bad game we have a better one soon.
thanks, gkg28
Rob Paxon 10-23-2003, 08:16 PM Brett Hull was in the crease.
You sir have just earned yourself a lot of friends in Buffalo.

Buffaloed 10-23-2003, 08:28 PM The interview Andy Murray did with Ziggy proved to be prophetic. To paraphrase Murray, "the Sabres have a more talented team than the Kings with all the injuries. The only way the Kings can win is to outwork them".
joechip 10-24-2003, 02:50 AM Brett Hull was in the crease.
It's saying things like that that are going to get you invited back here more often. :D
Thanks for the praise, and I'm sorry to hear about Palffy, hope he's ok.
Ta,
imyourhuckleberry 10-24-2003, 03:01 AM its nice to see another team other than the sabres come out flat and not work afterthe kings had a big shutout win against the flyers, we arn't alone. However a win is a win but I wish it could have been against checkmanek instead of their backup, it would have been more sweet, i dont think it would have mattered who was in net for them since the sabres simply outworked them in every aspect. This is the team that needs to show up every night! Props to Pittis, sure sounded like he played a solid forechecking game out there in place of max. I can't wait to see highlights of that Peters fight. Jeaneratte could have a career as a boxing or wwf announcer. :handclap:
MillerTime 10-24-2003, 04:27 AM Peters cut him right open!! Great heavy weight bout...I thought we played awesome in every way today
I couldnt believe it but we looked like a really physical team out there!!
if they can keep playing like this we should fair quite well in the standings
Go Sabres!!!
Takeo 10-24-2003, 04:31 AM if they can keep playing like this we should fair quite well in the standings
Isn't that the understatement of the century. :p
If only...
LALALALALALAFONTAINE 10-24-2003, 05:32 AM lol hey i dont think this is a one night wonder. Sabres look good. btw, Brett Hull was in the crease.
Good luck on the rest of the season, and may Deadmarsh and Allison get back healthy.

Go Sabres!!!
This may be the first time since Larry Playfair left that a Sabres enforcer had a positive impact on a game. The guys played with a lot of confidence and the Kings didn't take any liberties.
The game last night was awesome!
I watched it over Centre Ice on the LA feed with Bob Miller and Jim Fox
The Sabres were great.. they dominated every aspect of the game.. they scored the goals when they need to.. Pyatt was awesome.. he scored 2 goals and could have had more than that.. he played really well
Peters KICKED ass.. and that was great to see..
Biron played a solid game.. the one goal he let in he had no chance on.. I think that's one of the first times Biron has played vs LA.. the last couple times.. as I recall.. Noronen and Essensa got to play them.. so it's good to see Biron up against them.. and with some success
I'm sorry to see the Kings had to suffer 2 more injuries.. in Ziggy and Lubomir at our expense.. they are very unlucky! I hope they get better.. and I like the Kings so I'd like to see them do well this year.
I hope the Sabres keep this up.. they CAN play like this all the time if they just put in the effort
Keep it going against the Ducks!

Disagree about the history. Ray has had some impact.
But you are absolutely right. The Sabres didn't play scared after Peters won his fight decisively.
