Marleau, Sturm, and Cheechoo put on an awesome offensive showing (and the latter two eran me some points in my pool) as the Sharks narrowly defeat the 'Hawks 5-4 (T-Bo doesnt start n Toskala gets the win).

On a side not if someone wants to start "The Official 'Why the Sharks Are Lousy' Thread" I will sticky it so everyone will have a place to voice their complaints.

4-2 Sharks. I have a feeling they will put some pucks in the net tonight. They should break out of the embarrassment from the last couple nights. Im gonna guess, Marleau, Damphousse, and Thornton get goals tonight.

I'll say 4-2 Sharks as well, with Cheechoo, McCauley, Sturm and a D-Man gettign the goals... I suspect Toskala may get the start

I say 2-1 Sharks with goals by Marleau and Ekman. I dont see the Sharks getting more than 2 goals

My GF predicts things very well. I said who well the Sharks draft out of these guys...She Said Milan...Sure enough he was ect. SOOO She says they win.

Sharks win 3-2...It's going to be a close one.

San Jose 5 Chicago 2

Goals from Ekman, McCauly, Smith...Stuart gets 2 assists.

I personally think Chicago is one of those teams where we have an opportunity to prove to ourselves that we have offense.

San Jose will go perfect on the PK, and get 1 on the PP.

Nabby won't start, hopefully Toskala will, but I'm wondering if they'll give Kipp some time...

Anyway.....GO SHARKS

CHOMP CHOMP CHOMP CHOMP CHOMP!!!!!

2-2 tie (calder, nieminen)

I'm hedging my bets. I'd guess a 3-3 tie.

Arnason, Bell, and Tuomo for Chicago.
Marleau, Rathje (breaking the SJ D curse), and Korky for SJ.

Whomever is in net for SJ allows a softie game-tying goal, and the fans go home disgusted.

It's all about Malkin! Give me Malkin, or give me death! The "M" line is born...

3-1 sharks. marleau gets a goal and the sharks offense finally starts finding ways to put the puck in. i predict a scrappy game, with at least one fight.

Sharks already up 2-0, even though one of those was do to the Blackhawks scoring on themselves.

interesting...sharks dressing 7 defenseman. not a bad idea.

sharks are finally using their speed well, especially that marleau line. and theyre starting to get some breaks on their scoring chances. that's a good sign. chicago looks pretty bad tonight though. their d looks tentative.

Geez, Mclean is now 2+1=3 in 3 games and i *think* he's +3

3-2 chicago all of a sudden

rathje stumbles, allows a breakaway on the first one. two-on-one goal right afterwards. sharks offense is stepping up, but the d is just killing us.

I admit it. I was wrong. Ironically, I'm the closest to the SNOG...

First, let me admit that I don't like Drew Remenda.

That said, I believe this is the most angry I've ever heard him. If you get the chance, turn on Fox Sports Pacific for the 3rd.

After tonight, assuming it continues on the downward spiral, there are no excuses that can be made by anybody. We've seen SJ implode before our very eyes.

WEAKSAUCE!

what in the world is wrong with mclaren anyways? i don't mean this poorly timed penalty, i mean his poor overall defensive play. i've never seen him play this poorly. even when he was just coming back from the holdout last season he was playing better hockey than this. this is not the player we traded so much for. i really hope his play starts improving.

can't blame this on one player though. the whole defense is just bad.

I hate to tell you, but it's not just the D. The entire team sucks.

3-3 tie, and for all that, I'll say that we sort of recovered. For some reason, we seem to suck in the second period. Can someone address a letter to Coach Wilson and remind him that getting pissed may actually help sometimes.

After it was 3-2, I'd expect some fire behind the bench...but...um...folded arms, smirk on his face, looking rather pale...not what I'd do.

Anyway, atleast we scored, and we got a point. (NOTE: That's the silver lining...)

Absolutely disgusting defensive lapses. None fo those goals can be blamed on Nabokov. He was left dry on three odd man rushes.

Crazed, you are right on the dot re: Remenda. There's somethign wrong when the Sharks' biggest homer doesn't even like the product on the ice.
