Since he's not available, how about giving Larry Robinson a call? I don't want him as a head coach. I want him to spend all his time coaching the dmen. Even if he'll only accept a part-time position it would be a bonus. I don't even know who's responsible for coaching the Sabres D (McCutcheon?, Ruff?), but it seems as if the kids developed through Rochester play well for awhile and then start to regress under the Sabres coaching gurus. Robinson's the best in the business at coaching dmen and it would be foolish not to at least make an inquiry.

seriously, what does Scott Arniel do, and why would NHLers want to get coached by a career player in Leagues lower than the AHL.

Larry Robinson is currently a special assignment assistant coach with the Devils. I doubt they'd let him go for a similiar position with another club like the Sabres.

Much like how the Ducks wouldn't let Francois Allaire go either.
