anyone remember that interview with the kings' head scout that was posted on lgk over the summer? in it, he siad something along the lines of 'a prerequisite for players we draft is that they have to skate well.' that's fine. they should add durability to that list. we have a massive collection of injury-prone players, and i think that the only way to really get around that is to make a point of drafting or aquiring players that have demonstrated exceptional durability.

Who have they drafted that hasn't displayed durability? As far as I know most of the guys injured weren't drafted by the Kings and of the ones they did draft, they didn't have injury histories when drafted.

its not so much that i think that they players drafted recently are not durable; rather, i just want make sure that as this franchise is built through youth, it is getting players that are durable, so that in the future we will not have to go through stretches of the season whithout our three best forwards and three best defensemen.
i mean, really, the health of this team is greek tragedy, and i've never been a fan of tragedies.
