Waldo 10-25-2003, 05:31 AM The Coyotes seem to play a tighter game on the road than they do at home. That being the case and with the Sharks struggling I am boldly predicting a Coyotes win in a low scoring game. Happy to see Bierk getting the call and am predicting that Bierk will play awesome and secure his spot as the teams top backup and future starter. He'll get the shutout and they won't be able to get him out of the nets . We will all be raving about his great play and naming our children after him. Yada ..... yada ..... yada .....
the yotes are 500 and could be 5 and 1 if the real burke had shown up.
this team is playing with spunk and making it hard for the opposition to play against.
with sillinger in the line-up we are better in many ways.
yotes 3 sharks 1

I agree with the 3-1 victory, and I made the call that Bierk would get the nod tonight. The Sharks shouldn't get the better of us, and I'm glad to see that Francis is cracking the whip on the penalties.
Koltsov71 10-25-2003, 06:23 PM Tanabe on the powerplay! :handclap:
Dancing Chicken 10-25-2003, 06:56 PM and Beirk has been saying the Yotes butt.. 2-2 what a great game so far
Kimahri 10-25-2003, 07:15 PM Nagy has been invisable after the first two periods. Lets hope he can pick it up a little in the third. Looks like Francis is letting the Yotes play a little more offensive, and entertaining, style of play lately. :)
Hordichuk_24 10-25-2003, 07:16 PM Bierk is the man. Win or lose, he has played GREAT!!! :handclap:

So what is he if he ties?
Nagy17 10-25-2003, 08:48 PM 19 goals allowed in 4 games. Ouch. the defense was looking pretty pathetic, except Bierk he did all he could, unfortunately his teammates werent exactly helping him out.
That tie goal by SJ was pitiful, not sure what Vaananen was doing, he had a chance to touch the puck for icing and he just watched it as SJ took possesion, which eventually allowed Thornton to poke away at the puck all alone, Christ he had like 3 shots on it before anyone even came close to touching him.
Figured there would be nights where we would allow 4-5 goals, but damn, not every game.

Even better. Because he made some huge saves in OT. :handclap:
Guest 10-25-2003, 10:37 PM We started to do some things right tonight at least. Another PPG helps the cause, and not allowing a goal on the penalty kill goes a long way.
The faceoffs are still hurting us somehow. Winning 38/89, Gratton had a solid outing (525), while Langkow (34%) and Sillinger (41%) continued to slump taking draws.
Not surprised by the Kolanos scratch since he got benched at the end of the last game.
Nash was on the ice for the Nazarov-Parker fight, and also when Fahey hit the box, but had no penalties against him. I'll discount the fight :-)
Ference lost some time at the end of the game, not playing any in the final 9:30 of the game.
Waldo 10-26-2003, 06:41 AM They almost pulled out a win. Am really happy that the goaltending was solid. I wonder if they'll play Bierk against Vancouver. Most likely they'll go back to Burke. If they play this way against Vancouver the Coyotes will get blown away. But there were lots of positives, specificly Bierk, Tanabe, Mara, and Doan.

I believe they said Burke will be starting against Vancouver.
