Why did they call up Cujo? Is his conditioning stint over? And if so what is going to happen to Legace? Will he be put on waivers, or possibly the Wings are close to a trade and the buyers want to see Cujo in action

I think there is a roster limit of 23 players, and 20 can dress for a game (usually 12 Forwards, 6 D-Men, and 2 Goalies) That leaves 3 scratches your team can carry. Right now, The Red Wings only have Jamie Rivers as a scratch (I think...), since Hatcher is on the IR, and Hudler is now in the AHL. With CuJo called up, the Wings now have 2 scratches, CuJo and Rivers. This still leaves room if the Red Wings want Jiri Hudler on the roster to call up as a 3rd scratch. My guess is that Hasek will always dress, and Legace will switch on and off as the back up with CuJo, with both Legace and CuJo getting a few starts. Hopefully Cujo will look good, and will be able to be shipped off somewhere.

I really hope so.

All Wings fans do :D

I really hope we get a good return. I'm sure we wont. I am guessing the return we get for CuJo will probabley be a 2nd rounder.

I don't know who of you watched the game against the Rangers but Ken and Mickey mentioned that Joseph was only going to be down with Grand Rapids for just this weekend and the travel with the team when they go out West. He is going to start one of the games from the sounds of it. I don't think a trade is in the works, this is just all part of the process of getting him back in shape and then maybe something happens after that.

I didn't get to watch the game the other night (which they lost - must have jinxed it), but that was also my understanding. I think I might have left him there to play a couple more games but I don't run the team so what do I know?

If there is a trade in the works, I'd like to see them get something worthwhile for it but you never know...I just hope if he does get traded it's to an Eastern Conference team that we don't have to worry about facing more than once.
