Rolston is a bonified #2 centre that puts up 60+ pts consistantly, Cooke is a 3rd liner.

If you were a GM, would you trade Rolston for Cooke? Rolston is close ot a 30 goalscorer and a great penalty killer. Cooke brings alot to the table, but he's no rolston!!!

Rolston is a 30 goal scorer who is a tremendous PK guy. I would say his value is close to that of Bonk's if not more. I would give up Emery if it meant we could have Rolston for 5 years.

That's a no brainer. Rolston should win it easily, although Matt Cooke actually brings a lot of things to the table, in my opinion.

Cooke is a great player, and certainly far more bang than his buck would suggest, but Rolston is easily superior. Notice how none of the people who voted Cooke came out and said they did and why. :p

Right now, I'd take Rolston, but it's pretty close. Cooke is 25, Rolston is 30. So far in his career, Cooke has had similar stats to what Rolston had at the same age and Cooke imrpoved his offensive production in each year he has played in the NHL. Cooke looks like he might have breakout season this year, with 7 pts in 11 games (I know it's early, but so far he has played pretty good). Rolston had his breakout season at 25 (57 pts in 98-99) and he had a tough season the next year, being traded 3 times. He came back strong and he had 3 good seasons afterwards. So it might not be too far fetched to believe that Cooke might become the better of the two.
