Jonsson vs Moran

This is carried over from another thread.

Voting in this thread may be painful for some, and unbearable for others.

You have to choose between Hans Jonsson and Ian Moran. Which of these lame defensemen would you want more in the lineup?

Just a poll in good humor. I'm actually interested in seeing the results.

Isn't this like arguing what is more fun - bubonic plague or botchilism? :D

Exactly. I knew someone would make a manner of death reference.

Hans Jonsson was picked dead last in the 1993 draft. I think that speaks for itself.

Moran could be bad at any position he wanted. He gets the nod.

Jonsson had some offensive talent. Well, that's an overstatement, but he did have a good shot. I think I remember a few years ago, he scored a goal in 3 straight games. Moran sucked equally at both ends of the ice.

Hans Jonsson had a good shot.
That's about it. Although he was a bit good offensively.
He did know how to shoot... Unlike Moran who didn't know anything but giveaway the puck, overskate the puck, miss is checks...
But one thing that Moran did good was Ice the puck.

Ian is at least funny, other than his play I mean.

It's gotta be Moran, but I'd rather call up just about any of our defensive prospects instead of having Moran or Jonsson on my team.

Ian, he had a cool haircut.

Jonsson. He was decent in 2001. I always thought that Moran had that haircut so that when the team was losing, it would give the players something to laugh about.

I only voted for NoHans Jonsson because it tied up the vote 10 to 10.
I think they are equally as bad. It's like trying to determine what's worse---flies or roaches?
Having the vote end in a tie should be considered "as a just verdict" for both them. :D

I would like to see a third option added to this poll - perhaps a 7-foot tall, gigantic bowling pin. The pin would win hands down.

Hansy was a lousy tipper. My vote goes to Moran.

We had one of them on the blueline a couple of years ago. He goes by the name of Mike Wilson. :)

I guess I'll pick Moran but only because you can never have enough locker room guys. And he was an integral part of those Penguins bobbleheads commercials with McKenna and Bergevin last year. Who can forget those? :)

Jonsson is winning? I think I may have underestimated everyone's hate for Moran.

Yeah, some of the best Pens commercials I've seen.

I'd go with Moran. He was a good team/locker room guy, and he could play forward or D(although, not that good at either). But his locker room presence gives him the edge to me.

It's really a shame Jonsson never became anything good. He was one of our best d-men in the playoffs a few years ago(can't remember the year), then went down and quick.

Was Jonsson really drafted last overall?

Indeed. 11th round, 286th overall.

No Quarter

Probably Moran.

I'll give one thing to Jonsson. Not every player drafted in the last round of the draft get into the NHL. Maybe a few older overseas players here and there.

Moran because he's less likely to sit out because of a minor injury, because he's good in the room and because he can play forward if he has to. Jonsson was completely worthless in my estimation.

Yep, especially considering that he came in and was pretty solid.

For one year.

Second year he was average/mediocre.

Last year...just god no...

i cant believe Moran is winning. have we all forgotten how we had a bash moran thread after every game? jonsson could never have accomplished that with us.
