I'm assuming we will see the same line combinations as we have in the past two games. They have produced results. Tonight will be the debut of defenseman Bob Boughner. He will be taking St. Jacques (strained shoulder) spot in the lineup.

Both teams with only one win, and trouble scoring goals.

I'll be listening in. :)

I'm really looking forward to the first look at Bob Boughner. I think he's going to be an outstanding addition to this blueline.

I'm predicting a 3-2 win with goals from Staal, Cole, and Vasicek.

Boughner should give our defense a snarl now. I'm eager to see him in a Canes uni as well.

Just got online, so I missed the first half of the game. But I log on to NHL radio.. The game loads, and what's the first thing I hear? "Vasicek with the natural hat trick!"

Hell yeah!

You also missed Jesse Boulerice laying quite a whipping on Scott Parker. One of the best Boulerice bouts i've seen in quite a while. For sure since the Aaron Downey incident.

Josef Vasicek, Eric Staal, and Jeff O'Neill are playing out of their minds. Vasicek's 2nd goal was actually batted out of mid-air twice by Staal to O'Neill then O'Neill to the front of the net to Vasicek. Fantastic play and the Canes are all over the place. We have a powerplay coming too for the start of the 3rd.

Scott Thornton also sucker punched Bob Boughner, wouldn't be surprised to see him get at least a fine.

Sounds like Thornton vs Boulerice are going at it!

On a side note, who exactly is Allen Rourke? I heard he was called up to replace Hill at the last minute, but I don't know anything about him.

Lets not mince words here. For sure since Aaron Downey knocked his arse out. Thats how it should read.

I recommend you keep the trolling to a minimum.

Allen Rourke is defenseman we got from Toronto this offseason. He's a 23 year old (if i'm not mistaken) with decent offensive skills and a fairly sound defensive game.

Pretty much a stop-gap, but we need guys like that.

First home win of the season.. Back to back shutouts (for Weekes). Vasicek with the natural hat trick, etc.. Great night.

This is the game i've been waiting for all year and it just happened to be in Boughner's first game. I have a feeling Bob is going to be a fan-favorite around here.

Great game by Vasicek and O'Neill with the playmaker. Staal played a fine game too.

Props to Jesse Boulerice for two, in my opinion, wins tonight dropping the gloves.

Weekes, fantastic game. Came up big in the first and the Canes pretty much won the next two periods easy.

Fantastic game. Can't wait for the next one.

You have to admit that it was a great punch by Downey. Best punch I've ever seen in a hockey fight. They show it on those highlight reels over here non-stop and from different angles. I don't like the fact that Boulerice was out for a year because of it though. Its always a shame when someone is out for a lengthy period of time like that because of a hockey fight(kinda silly). Nice natural hat-trick by Vasicek tonight!
