Mario was awarded an assist. Nhl.com updated it. The streak is alive. Is it possible to win the Calder and Vezina in the same year? :yo:

Barrasso, Belfour and Frank Brimsek are the three I am aware of who have won both in the same season. Both Tom and Ed were also 1st team NHL all-stars and Ed also added the Jennings that year too.

Way to go Fleury - I think without question the best rookie in the NHL so far this season and definitely, one of the best goalies too!! So maybe we will see his name added to a pretty decent list. :bow:

Frank "MR ZERO" Brimsek! The only reason I know of him is because I believe in the year after our second Cup TOMMY BOY Barrasso went ahead of him for wins by a US born goalie. I went . . . WHO's that! This guy is from back from the 30's. I hope your recall is like mine . . . reading something rather than actually being there!

Marc-Andre Fleury is an awesome talent. When I saw him live last year in juniors, I just knew he'd be something special.

I hope he keeps his yellow pads for awhile

Half recall and half reading. Few years back when Nabokov has his Calder season I looked it up. The information stuck. Also I worked as a summer intern at the HHOF for two years a long, long time back. That packed my head with significant amounts of what is normally uselss informantion.
