Tonight's game will feature our beloved Philadelphia Flyers visiting the Toronto Maple Leafs.

After last season's EC quarterfinals in which the Flyers elimnated the Leafs with a 5-0 score(I think) in game 7,the Leafs are looking for revenge and more..

prediction:
Flyers-4-Gagné(score when I'm not home),Pitkanen,Handzus,Recchi
Leafs-1-Sundin

Looks like you have started it. :)

I'm hoping for a repeat of game 7, that one had a pretty nice score by the end of it.

With Joisey's win this afternoon, we can't affor to tie or lose this game, it's a MUST-WIN! Toronto is playing like a bunch of girls so we should get in there and take it ot them from the opening shift. Curious to see an encore battle fo Tucker and JR, see if the heat continues from last year.

Flyers: 3 (JR, Recchi, Leclair)
Maple Leafs: 1 (Kaberle)

This is just Ka-razy. I don't think anyone expected this. Domi is going to try to egg on Fedoruk to fight and change momentum. Now is the time to be smart.

Williams has been awesome again.

All of Canada getting to see Williams shine.

Quite possibly the best forechecker in the NHL. Always causing havoc and his legs are always moving. Has to be the best conditioned Flyer.

Williams has been awesome again.

Great pass on Zuz's goal, and his move on the breakaway was sweet.

Brashear may have lost his spot on the 3rd line. Kap-Prims-Gags looks good so far.

yeah baby! the FlyBoys stomped a mudhole in Toronto tonight.

team played real solid tonight, good to see Kapanen break-out with 2 goals. Esche put in another quality 60 minutes.

Holy ***** !! I never would have thought a Lafs vs Flyers game would be a 7-1 blowout!
Nice all around game, and 2 more PP goals!
(John, they are making me eat crow!)

Sami, Willy, Zues, and Pitkanen were great.
Would like Jim V. to get back in, or Dennis.
Rex is fixed on that line with JR for the near future.
Therien still got turned at least three times allowing a forward to go right by him.
If Esche can improve his rebound control - look out.

If Esche can improve his rebound control - look out.

I hope Lemelin is working with him on that in practice every day. Esche is still young as goalies are concerned, and it's not too late to change his bad habits.

Oh, and Therien has to go, ASAP

What happens when Somik-Brash get back?

Rex-JR-Amonte
LeClair-Zues-Williams
Gagne-Prims-Kapanen

All 3 lines look both sound defensively and all can put the puck in at any time.

To start I think you just have Lapointe center Somik & Brash.

Good chance that Brash is back for the Caps on Thursday. Have him take Fedoruk's spot.

i agree, somik and brash on the 4th line, but wish we could see more of Chouinard, and replace Therian with Woywitka

god, it's times like this that i LOVE being a flyer fan in toronto!
willy and pitkanen looked great again. cracks me up every time i see those platinum seats empty for 10 minutes to start each period. i guess they still think that looks better than showing canada a sens game. also loved that 5-3 for the leafs where they decided to have absolutely nobody go to the net...lol...works for me.

Heheh, from TSN:

Handzus had all day to backhand his own rebound over a helpless Ed Belfour 4:25 into the first period, with Leafs defenceman Bryan McCabe standing idly by, apparently unaware he was allowed to check the Flyers centre.

Absolutely brutal! :joker:

Excellent job tonight. They were helped out by some poor passes and poor decisions by Toronto but once they got those first two the momentum kept flowing and they just handed it to Toronto.

Williams, again, was the man tonight. It seems like when he's on his game he can be really tough to handle because of how hard he works our there. I've said it before but I think this is his breakout year.

Robert Esche made some big saves for the Flyers. The game wasn't really that close, but he made some tough stops - especially on that 5-on-3 the Leafs had for 1:25. I think he's taken the starters job...for now.

Overall just a very well played game by the Flyers and a great way to rebound from losing a tough one to Joisey.
