I'm lucky enough to be able to do a phone interview with Stephen Werner of UMass-Amherst tomorrow afternoon (Tuesday). Werner is a third-round pick of the Washington Capitals (81st overall) and has just been named to the US WJC initial roster.
Here's his HF bio:

If you have any questions for Stephen Werner, please post them here before 4:30 pm tomorrow (EST).
Thanks!

I’m kind of interested in the whole Team USA angle and the fact that so many of the players that have been name to the team have played together for team USA before including the gold medal team in 02. So here are a few random thoughts along that line if any of them help.
Since being named to team USA has Coach Eaves or any of the other players discussed strategy with him yet?
Does he have any idea who his line mates might be yet? Who would he like to have as line mates?
Who does he think might be the Captain of team USA?
Does playing for coach Eaves and playing with so many other players in the past (USNDT and team USA) help get a head start in the tournament?
What’s it like to play with these guys in intense international competition and then have to turn around and play against them in NCAA games.

The only one I have for him is....
how much of an adjustment (if any) has it been not being able to play with Matt Anderson thus far this season?

Thanks for the great questions! Unfortunately, the interview was a little rushed, so I didn't get to ask as many as I'd liked. We talked about the WJC team, linemates, etc, but not as in-depth as I'd liked. I also asked to put some fans' questions in, which took some time. The interview should be up fiarly soon, I'll post the info when it's ready.
I found Werner to be a thoughtful and well-spoken guy. Interviewing him was about as pleasant as it gets, IMHO.
