If you could have one of these 2 goalies as your starter, which one would it be and why?
Giggy or TurcoGarryH24 11-03-2003, 01:57 PM If you could have one of these 2 goalies as your starter, which one would it be and why? Epoch 11-03-2003, 01:59 PM Turco. Tough decision. FlyersGuy69 11-03-2003, 02:03 PM I would go with J-S Giguere because of the run he had last season. I think that he showed that he could put a team on his back and be the franchise netminder that ever team is looking for. well except for the Devils. Giggy(26) is also 2yrs younger than Turko(28) which is always a factor. Vincent Vega 11-03-2003, 02:50 PM Marty Turco. MOOSE55 11-03-2003, 03:06 PM I said Turco.....he had the best GAA in like 20 years(i think) last season......giggy has to prove that the playoff run wasn't a fluke and play good for a whole year Oiler94 11-03-2003, 03:11 PM Turco played amazing for more than 6 months, Giguere played amazing for less than 2 months. incawg 11-03-2003, 03:19 PM Turco played amazing for more than 6 months, Giguere played amazing for less than 2 months. But giggy did it when it really counted. I'd take the playoff success over the regular season success any day. Don'tcry4mejanhrdina 11-03-2003, 03:51 PM Turco. Robert Paulson* 11-03-2003, 04:48 PM Marty Turco. KillToronto 11-03-2003, 05:15 PM Regular Season - Turco. Playoffs - Giguere. Xx Shadow xX 11-03-2003, 05:18 PM Marty Turco. Freudian 11-03-2003, 05:26 PM Giguere. Turco had a great GAA but it was definately a team effort. Dallas sacrificed a lot of offense to get that defense. Both good goalies though but when you have one that has shown he can steal games in the playoffs like Giguere did this spring, you have to pick him. Insane stuff. Can he do it again? No idea, but at least he has done it. LaVal 11-03-2003, 07:20 PM Turco. the puckhandling is just so invaluable Mack 11-03-2003, 07:38 PM Turco Dr.Strangelove91 11-03-2003, 10:11 PM Gigučre. He's been playing good hockey in regular season for the last two years. They're is not much to add on his playoff performance last spring. I think he'll get his game together as the rest of the team pretty soon. KOMO_ROCKS 11-03-2003, 10:32 PM J.S Giguere Oilers Hockey 11-04-2003, 01:01 AM Giguere, you can't go wrong with French Canadian goalies. Screw Turco, he's an ass. #37-#93-#27* 11-04-2003, 03:46 AM Marty Turco.. easy. onearmedbandit14 11-04-2003, 04:37 AM Turco. Should have won the Vezina last year. I'll take him on my team any day. Koltsov71 11-04-2003, 07:10 AM Marty Turco. Ric Flair 11-04-2003, 07:31 AM Gigs goalie31 11-04-2003, 08:59 PM Turco without a doubt. Why? He's expirenced and he's solid. Definitely Turco on my team. Giggy is talented and I can see he'll be even more amazing eventually but he's not a Marty quite yet. KOMO_ROCKS 11-05-2003, 11:36 AM I expected this poll to be closer than it is MVP 11-05-2003, 11:41 AM I expected this poll to be closer than it is See what i am talking about now? Goalie poll during middle of the season is mainly base on hot streak and hype. Although i am not saying in anyway that Turco is not a tremendous goalie.
