1-If Rick Nash hits the post, but no one is around to hear it, does it make a sound?
2-Anyone else wonder what would happen if we tried Walser on RW on the top line?
3-Would it kill IDWT to try to get Sydor to sneak down backdoor on the powerplay, so Cassels can feed him a rink wider for a tap in on the powerplay?
4-Is Anders Eriksson really the answer to our defensemen call-up woes?
5-How long before one of our top players gets sick of losing?
6-Is Marc Denis really for real this season?
7-How long before Doug heads back up to the press box...permanently?
8-How did we get 3 guys on the All-Star ballot? Is that one for each win this season?
9-Is it wrong to be down this early in the season?

1. No...
2. Steve Maltais, Jan Caloun or Alex Selivanov would be better choices
3. It just might...too concerned with defensive coverage...and it shows!
4. Anders has played well for a callup, he doesn't do anything spectular, but hasn't been glaringly ineffective either... probably not long term (after this season) he will be the next Radim Bicanek...tired of callups and reassignments to the minors...his confidence is completely destroyed.
5. It will happen by the end of this season if the woes continue, it will be Denis... afraid he will be dropped as soon as Leclaire he is ready...like Tugger
6. As long as we doesn't have to face more then 30 shots a game and plays between 55-65 games this year.
7. End of this season if jackets do not score more then 65 points
8. Not forseeable in the next five years....
9. Years 1-3 no....Year 4... Yes

1. Doesnt matter, its still not a shot on goal
2. Couldnt hurt to try. He cant be any worse than anyone playing there now and no one (outside of Aaron Johnson) could be worse defensively on the blueline.
3. That would require skating and being agressive. If we did those things, we wouldnt be in this mess.
4. He was a regular on a team that were borderline cup contenders the last few years.
5. If they ever get sick of losing, we wont be losing. This isnt a lack of talent, its a lack of desire right now.
6. All elite goalies have a team in front of them. Denis's numbers indicate he will take off if he gets some help. But, like most goalies, he needs to have 3 or more goals in support a lot more often than he does. If he gets that, he will be there to steal a game for us in the instances when we dont get the goals.
7. At the end of the season, as planned. This team will fall in a hole, like now for example, and then when its too late, play like a team possessed and finish out strong, saving jobs but not really accomplishing anything.
8. The All Star game is all about talent, not neccesarily performance. Dont kid yourself, we have a good team. They just arent playing anywhere near thier potential right now.
9. No, but it is wrong to be playing this uninspired at any point in the season.

1. If Rick hits the post and isn't there to hear it, then it must have been a pretty long shot (and if Osgood was in goal, then it probably would have gone in).
2. Then we'd have two D-men playing forward.
3. No, defensemen are not allowed to come off of the blueline on the PP; that would be illegal. :joker:
4. Let's keep playing Anders until he remembers who he is and reverts back to his old self.
5. Hopefully it has happened to at least one of them already. The team needs to play as if they are collectively sick of losing. They will certainly have a lot of time to think about it this week.
6. jackets63 sums up my opinion on Denis very well. Can't add anything to that.
7. DM will stay on in his multiple roles until A) the Jackets become a playoff team, B) he resigns, or C) he is fired.
8. Nash will be the only Jacket to make the All-Star team, and he isn't even on the ballot.
9. As a fan, you can't help but be at least somewhat down about our start. Thankfully, there are 71 games left, and some traditionally strong teams don't seem to be as strong as in prior years, at least so far.
