Power Play- 25.4%, 2nd in the NHL
Penalty Kill- 90.8%, 2nd in the NHL

Can anyone remember a point in their lives when the Flyers special teams was this good?

No I can't. Their penalty killing is tenacious and they rarely let a team get setup along the boards and the power play is very aggressive and always seems to be moving in toward the net.

Also Pitkanen has helped immensely on the PP. His passing ability is awesome. That little play on their lone regulation goal was great, he patiently took the puck to the middle of the ice, drew the defense over to him, which cleared room for Amonte to wind up and he then threw a nice soft pass in perfect position that allowed Amonte to shoot right off the pass. It seems like a very simple play but they haven't had someone on their point that can make simple little plays like that for a long time.

If the PP and PK stay this strong they will be one of the top couple teams in the league.
