Question for the US soccer tour.......

It's been a few years now that some europeen teams come to the US and play some friendlies.I went to New York to watch Milan-Juve 2 years ago and last year I saw Milan-Chelsea.Does anyone know if they are teams coming this year and the scheduale because I cannot find the website anymore.

The tour you're talking about was the championsworld tour, which was disassembled a year or two ago.

I know chelski are touring here, they play 8/5 in chicago against the MLS all-stars, and they may play in new york as well. I also know Barca are touring here, not too sure of the schedule.

There may be a few more teams as well, just a matter of checking websites. Best bet may be to check teh MLS team websites, as its likely the teams will come over and play MLS teams, like Milan did with the fire last year.

Real Madrid is coming to the States to play Real Salt Lake in Salt Lake City in August. It might sound absurd, but the last I heard, this game was for real.

Barcelona is playing Red Bull NY I believe, I heard on World Soccer Daily.

I saw Manchester United's taxi squad play (Kieran Richardson was probably the best player :sarcasm: ) against Bayern Munchen in Chicago 2 years ago.

0-0 until penalty kicks, where Oliver Kahn dominated.

Not the most exciting match I've seen, but Ze Roberto was probably the man of the match.

No idea if it's Barcelona's B squad with a couple A guys or not, but as Bayern Munich will attest to, RBNY will go all out against them.

Barcelona is also playing Chivas (not USA, but the real one) in LA.

You're right. They won't show up with "some" big names. They'll show up with pretty much ALL big names. They're taking pretty much everybody to Denmark when they go to Aarhus.
