None of their guys get on base AND Dusty has a tendency to overuse his pitchers.

Lack of talent and soft pitchers.

Dusty Baker and Jim Hendry's inability to make a roster that is "Dusty-proof." Next question.

Poor pitching, poor offense, poor defense, poor management.

Better question: what's RIGHT about the Cubs?

The problem with the Cubs is that they're all injury prone. Prior and Wood have been injured most of their careers, and Derek Lee, their best position player is hurt now.
The Cubs need to go young, bring in some good youngsters, trade for picks and start developing people. Right now, the Cubs team is just horrible, there are so many holes it's like Swiss Cheese. I like the Cubs, but something needs to change, and I think getting rid of Dusty Baker should be the first step.

That is the perfect definition of the Cubs

That's rich. True, but funny nevertheless.

Yeah, Dusty's "old school" (or whatever you call insanity at the helm) would be my first pick, too. Lots of bad luck with their starting pitchers is another.

Let's blame Bartman.

What's wrong with the Cubs?

Everything, from the Trib Co. to Hendry to Baker to Juan Pierre to Jacque Jones.

I guess they should start making wrong decisions, maybe then they'll have good pitching, good offense, good defense, and good management.

I question their trainers because if you look at all the players that have left the organization, they have done better and have stayed injury free.

Juan Pierre has turned out to be a good leadoff man, & Jacque Jones is doing pretty well, for sure an up grade from Burnitz. The problem again is injuries, every year. :banghead:

The cubs problems start at the top with Jim Hendry as a ganeral manager. He just doesent get any good talent at the trades he makes. He has been living off his Aramis Ramirez trade for a while. The cubs dont really have much talent on their team. Besides Prior and Lee and Zambrano the cubs are just a bunch of mediocre players.

Dusty is also a problem. It seems everytime he wins a game his contract extends another week. He overuses pitchers and uses his super utility man Nefi way too much.

The cubs have a bad GM and a bad coach. That is the problem.

RELEASE Prior?

When healthy he is one of the top 5 pitchers in baseball. I don't care how often he is hurt, you don't let someone like walk away like that.
